guys, anyone has a comparison of the backcase for v2j vs gen? How obvious is it to tell?

You will always notice the wrong position of the bridges and gears and that they are deco plates as it isn't a clone movement. It is simply decorated - its the best we can get at the moment as there is no 3120 or else clone movement available yet.

don't try to fool someone by showing them the caseback.

However it looks nice for what it is and its better than an undecorated 9015 or 2824 movement.
And at least when the watch is on your wrist nobody will ever notice the movement ;)

On the V2J the bracelet screws are different, V2 had these long screws that were easy when adjusting links. On the V2J there is really tiny tiny screw that is very easily lost if you drop it, then it seems to have some kind of pin still inside the links. They seem more delicate than previous so is it just a matter of unscrewing and getting the pin out when removing a link?

Well this beauty I just got in off m2m has the bracelet screws and bars you described. The dial may not be updated but the clearly yellow good blunder is a more than welcome surprise. You all be the judge...

Before the V2J they was a V2 batch with new bracelet (pins and stuff). You must look at the other thread for that information. So its indeed a V2 just with the new bracelet the batch before the V2J.

Helping keep this thread alive and resolving issues for us less eagle eyed members... I just picked this up on m2m and Puretime sold to OP as v2j, can anyone confirm? Will post more images once the watch has arrived.

From that angle of light I would say it's even not a JF dial...
