guys, good comments , opinions , points of view , it is interesting to read what u guys think and some expiriences.

i will be clear here .
when it comes about religion , catolic , christian , baptist .......... ....
that is a big jocke for me ! lots of people talking shit about why this guys are bad and we are good and bla bla , i am 100% against what religion is the best .

I agree...spirituality and a belief in GOD or a supreme being can be a positive thing. Belief in religion and man made institutions can be a negative or even dangerous thing.

now, i have allways believed in god and many times i went to church
i can tell u that 80% of the time , it made me sick ! why? all the time u find the worst people there , they even think they are saints! everyone will burn in hell but them ! i know i know! it is only people but it bothers me a lot , that and many other reasons
hey! if u go to a place where u get together with nice people and u share stuff and u grow as a better person ... well amazing!!!! that is good , i am not against that

Yes - according to Christianity, people are born with the original sin. Even if you accept Christ, while on this earth you are still in your earthly body and prone to sin. That means people are not perfect, Christian or not, saved or not, we still mess up all the time. The Church just like any group of people are just that ...made up of people like you and me. People, just like you and I, are good sometimes and terrible at other times. All prone to the same sin and emotions. They (people are similar throughout the world - all motivated and tempted by the same things). You and I aren't any different in our human nature regardless of our beliefs or unbelief. You can't base your religion or faith on the actions or promise of others.

have u seen how the world works? have u seen a tiger killing a cute bambi? have u seen how hard life is ?
im from a country were u can c a lot of pain

I work in a hospital and see sick and sometimes dying people all the time. Tigers eating baby deers. Male lions killing the lion cubs that are not his bloodline. Yes that is gruesome but it is also the natural order of things. Everything must live and die. You can't blame GOD for those things. Those things must happen for the world to exist in balance. If animals had no natural predators, their numbers would become unmanageable and it would wreck havoc on the ecosystem.

I also believe God set up the world and system to work as it does. Do I understand the system in it's entirety. No, sorry. Just the generalities.

I DO UNDERSTAND! THAT PAIN IS NOT GOD'S WORK !
BUT ! IF PAIN AND BAD STUFF DOESNT HAVE TO DO WITH GOD , THEN ANYTING GOOD HAS TO DO WITH HIM AS WELL !
u cant just say , thanks god becouse i woke up today and im feeling good!
couse if u say that , he would become responsable for all the people that woke up sick and innocent children dying ...

I don't agree with you. I think God IS responsible for the Pain and suffering in a sense. He doesn't necessarily cause car accidents or cause pain per se, but does allow bad things to happen. He is considered the master weaver and works all things to his glory. sorry to sound so religious, but I couldn't think of a better way to say it. He doesn't cause it but he does allow it. Just like a parent allows a chiild to fall to teach him how to get up. To not allow a child to fall or fail, will do more harm than good.

I understand what you are saying about it's not fair or right to attribute bad things to God, then why do people always say Prais God for every little thing. I agree with you that it makes no sense but consider this....

Our relationship to God is like that of a parent and child. He is the parent, we are the children. When my 5 year old daughter says, "Daddy, can I have some water?" I say yes you may... Then I give it to her and she says "thank you". I say your welcome.

Now who in the hell would deny his own child water or make her ask for it. Of course I teach her to ask for it, b/c it teaches politeness and manners. I appreciate it that she says thank you for the water b/c it shows that she is appreciative. Would I beat her if she didn't ask or say thanks? No, i would remind her to ask politely and say thank you.

Same goes for when we give thanks to God for meaningless shit. Does it matter to God? Yes I think so. I think he does appreciate hearing it and appreciates our gratitude.

So when I get a good rep watch, I say thanks Big Guy! and when I get a crappy one, then I start a thread complaining about it instead of saying God you suck for sending me a crappy watch. Just kidding, I don't say these things. That would make me crazy right?

when I was younger, I use to think why in the world do people pray about stupid shit like who will win the superbowl? Okay maybe a bad example. But you know what I mean. But as I get older, I understand that God wants to hear our prayers no matter how big or small. it's all important to him, b/c it shows that we depend on him. Just like I appreciate it when my daughter asks me to watch TV or play outside. It creates a need and dependance, a relationship, appreciation, etc. Same with God.

IF THERE IS A GOD!! he already did his job and he doesnt have anything !! to do with us and our planet

I don't see it that way. God, according to Christianity, does have a plan for mankind and earth. I will defer to others who want to join in to fill in the gaps. Or you can do some reading on your own.

Pec, just giving you my perspective as a believer and nothing more. If anything it may shed some light on why I believe the things I do. This is not intended to sway you in your beliefs but rather to make conversation and share. Thanks for letting me do that.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
? C.S. Lewis

We are just friends here and pretty much all in the same boat.
and this one

“Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person's ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.”
? C.S. Lewis

I think that has been shown in this thread.

...of course everything hinges on TB and his Smite button.

@tommy , i like learning , so why not to try it?
i am open to hear a person that is from any kind of religion , im open to read any kind of book , even satanic ones, im open to everything! to hear analize and take my own decitions about any single opinion from anything
at the end i think, i have the ability to realize what makes sense , what is good and what is not,
some people reads the bible and they feel like they have to like EVERYTHING IN IT! if not that would be a sin and they would be against god !
me ? no! is like watching a movie , the whole movie can be really good but the end can suck !

tranman , what would JESUS OR GOD DO? buy a 400 dolars watch , or help a sick old man with the money?
we know what is good and what is bad most of the time , i mean our conscience let us know .
lets say u are walking around down town and u c this old man on the floor , dirty and looking sick , what is the first thing that comes to ur head?
to help him right???
but right after , u are like , mmhh well i have only a 10 dolars bill and i need it for my cookies or this and that , and then u realize that u are long gonne and u didnt give him the money
REMEMBER GUYS , IM NOT SAYING THAT THERE IS NO GOD , IM JUST SAYING

GOD LOVES YOU!!!

Life is a steeplechase. The goal is to reach the end without dragging to many people down in the process.

Heaven or Hell... It's what you make of it.

Well Pec, I don't know what Jesus would do, but I do know that I'm not Jesus. I do help the homeless from time to time, but I also would rather buy a rep watch than give $400 to a homeless shelter. But like I said before, that's me. I'm a greedy selfish human being. I'm sure God wants me to help out more than I do, but I'm a slow learner. lol

Whether you help homeless people out or not, God doesn't hold it against you. I don't think of Him being that petty, but maybe I'm wrong. I don't think he looks over my shoulders expecting me to make all the right moves all the time. It's not about that. Again, it's a bout a relationship, a journey, a process of growing sort of speak.

I use to live in Portland, Oregon where there is a huge number of homeless young people. all capable and able body, physically able to work but choose not to. Some homeless people actually like the stress free lifestyle of no bills and no jobs, no responsibilities. Not all but some. I saw a special on TV, where they interview a homeless guy and he said he makes $50K a year begging on the streets, tax free! Others pretend to be handicap when they are not. Some drive their cars to park somewhere near, and beg around the corner, and go home at night to an apartment. Okay maybe only a few homeless are like this and most are homeless not by choice. I don't know who is who. If I see a homeless person or one approaches me and begs for money, I will sometimes ask them if they are hungry. If yes, then I offer to buy them a sandwich. If I don't have time, then I just give them a few bucks. What he decides to use it for is up to him. If he can buy a pack of smokes or a beer and have a few minutes of stress free relaxation from life by smoking or drinking, then it's cool with me. I mean, I can't save the world, but I can be kind to one person.
And sometimes, I see a homeless dude, and I don't have time or not in the mood, I pass them by like anyone else. Do I feel a little bad? sure, but hey I'm okay with that too. I'm not perfect and neither is he. I'm not obligated to help b/c I'm a Christian. I want to help at times and not at others. I don't think God will hold that against me for not always wanting to help. Maybe he will, who knows right? I just don't see God that way. As a fear mongering diety. I see him as a more understanding and more loving being. But that's what I choose to believe, right or wrong. I got a little long winded again. I can get a bit carried away at times. :)

Cheers,
Chau

G30, I can look at those pictures all day! And the photos in the Katy Perry is Hottt thread. But I am just a man after all. ;)

That would be my smite button actually.

On behalf of those that believe in your existence, welcome to the forum. As far as the others, well, they'll just deny you ever posted in the first place.

Oh, and always stick with the trusted dealers.
