I have a gen Batman and rep Pepsi. As much as I love my reps (I think I have over 40), wearing gen is just a different experience!
You’re right, but what about a Franken watch? I think it largely depends on the type of watch you choose and if it fits you (could you afford it in real life etc.) and mostly how well a piece is made/replicated.

There is no color difference between the black color, the blue is the key part. The factory claims the GEN blue to be a little darker, but this is not obvious to check with the naked eye, the color of clean has been restored very good in fact.
Do you happen to have a shot with both bezels in the same frame where the colour difference is visible?

I'm sorry that I didn't compare it that way. I will take care to provide some comparisons in the same frame in future comparison articles, and thank you for your suggestions.

Really want to keep it clean bro, if you get jacked for your rep it ain’t all bad either 😅
Honest question, (as someone who can't reasonably afford to A. buy a gen or B. build the relationship with an AD through a large purchase history to buy one) I'm curious, why buy a gen if you'd get an identical rep to wear instead of it?

I just dont see the utility with such a hefty investment?

I will never buy a gen if there is a “NWBIG” rep version, but there is something to be said about pride of ownership when buying gen. I already owned a gen Daytona and gen BLNR before I bought reps. As dumb as it is, I find it hard to sell them. I do wear both the gen and rep Daytona depending on the occasion. I don’t own a rep BLNR so the gen of course gets its wrist time.

I was installing a gen crystal on a new CF DD3285 pepsi today, and when I was aligning the laser etched crown of the crystal with the rehaut of the CF case, I noticed that the engraved serial number on the rehaut of the CF case had very strange spacing. It was almost like the middle two characters of the serial number were too close together. (And for anybody who doesn't know hot to recognize bad kerning, I'm sorry). Has anybody else who has a CF DD3285 GMT in hand noticed the spacing being odd on their rehaut serial number?

Haven't seen that before bro, interesting. These are pics from Jtime showing the three models. Looks like this Batman sample has a bit of a kerning issue too.

Off topic, but what an excellent LEC that crystal has. It even has the double oval indicating full underside AR. This should be a nice improvement!

If only the AR was as good as VSF’s crystals

Primarily as an investment. Catch at RRP, could sell for almost 100% profit. Plus when you spend years wanting something, work hard for it, its a nice feeling to achieve it

Hello, I am looking forward to buy a clean GMT 126710 BLRO and do some modifications on it to make it more gen like.
I already bought some parts and want to know if i missed a key modification.
Parts I already have or want to optimise :
-Deep Crystal from Xing
-Ceramic Bezel from XING
-Gen Bezel Ring
-Rehaut Polishing
-Check the bezel action

What else is in your opinion important to do?

It is said that AR also released this GMT II, I wonder how it compares with Clean, AR's case and strap are naturally the best, it depends on the details and other aspects

This is a good list. The rehaut polishing is optional, but I did wipe mine off with a Cape Cod a few times while I had the movement out during the xtal swap. The bezel cleaning is a must if you want decent bezel movement.

Good info in here.....
