I’m courious if such position on GMT is normal or it has some issues?
When you're reading the time on the hour hand, you read it on the dial. When you read the GMT time, you're reading from the bezel. So if it was 9:00pm, the GMT should say 21:00 on the bezel. Are you reading it like this, and the time is still not being synced? On your picture, the "home" time says 9:35, while the GMT time says 6:35.

Yeah so this is what I found one another forum:GMT hand moves twice as slowly as the main hour hand, because the hour markers for it are on the bezel, not on the dial.

so taking this into account do you thinks that mine shows everything as expected? Now 12-50 pm (time when photo was taken)

Thanks man. Got mine. Setting GMT is kind of a puzzle. First of all - seems that movement is VR because when I rotate crown in second position hour hand jumps forward. What concerns me that I’ve set GMT hand and hour hand to same time however they are still kind of not synced:
on my Panerai rep this two hands are following each other and if they are synchronized like gmt hand is hidden under normal or vice versa (don’t remember:))
so I’m courious if such position on GMT is normal or it has some issues?

You need to set the GMT hand where you want it to be.

GMT hands and bezels give you the option to visualize different time zones simultaneously. That was the whole purpose for them. They were created to let pilots have a constant reference to Greenwich Mean Time, the universal time in aviation due to flights crossing times zones.

I keep all my GMT hands set to GMT time. Then you can also use the bezel to visualize a 3rd time zone, assuming your GNT hand is independent.

You can see on this recent purchase of a gen Glycine Airman, I have the GMT hand set to GMT (local +5) and the bezel set to Beijing (GMT +8).

So at a glance I know all 3 times.
01:49 local, 06:49 GMT, 14:49 Beijing

Set your local time to an even hour, it will be much easier to assess the position of the GMT hand. Then the GMT hand should point directly at a dial hour marker and not between two of them.

I always thought this was kind of a hack? As in it wasn't the actual intention of most GMTs to tell a 3rd time zone, it was just something you could do. My instructions were, of course, assuming you had the Bezel rotated to the "reset" position, as for 24 hours on the dial. I like how your Glycine has the 24 hours markers on the dial itself, though- that's kind of cool.

The bezel on a Rolex GMT has often been touted as being able to display a third time zone, but it would be by temporarily losing the visualization of the 2nd time zone with the GMT hand and rested bezel.

There are a few other GMTs with double 24 hour markers that let you do 3 simultaneously - some Breitlings and Omegas come to immediate mind. I just picked up this gorgeous VSF Omega GMT that has both GMT and diving timer features, another very cool design. Too bad VSF doesn't make Rollies, the quality on this rep is exceptional, best I've ever had.

Share some pics. Frankly, If I have gold anywhere within my watch, I am keeping it :D

Its probably dust and can be blown away during service. A new VR is about $170-180 before service. If you are getting one services, put in a gen jumping hour module (part 660) and hour wheel (part 284).

Hi all, I ordered GMF V3 and here’s my 1st rejected QC. Look at the frisbee GMT hand hole surround. Maybe they sent me V1 or V2 photos wrongly, or some V3 still have a frisbee GMT hand?

Look at those markers on the dial too. They look terrible. I hope it is light reflection.

Quick question guys - when using jump hour with the VR3185, do your minute and GMT hands shake slightly? This is ok right?

Does anybody have both the GMF v3 116710 and VRF Batman? Which dial do you prefer. Much appreciated!!
I have the GMF V3 BLNR and I have the VRF LN.

I will say and have been saying GMF does a great job with the way they brush and finish their hardware. If you look back in the GMF thread you'll see me. Race about the bracelet.

That extends to the hour markers too. On the GMF the lume plots in the hour markers are nice and bold and to me thay is always the weakest tell for reps. Noob (in general not in the gmt's) is the only factory that makes hour markers with nice beefy rims to the markers. But GMF does an excellent job.

Also I will say that the dial printing is a little crisper on the GMF. At least to the naked eye. From arms lenght, I noticed that I can make out the individual letters of "Oyster Perpetual Date" better when looking at it.

But the difference is subtle.

Guys another question: are there any normal Pepsi on a market? If no what would be your recommendation for LN? VRF? Or GMF?

You have 2 questions :D Only Pepsi worth spending is the Noob (for the amazing insert) and then fix the bezel issue and pop in a VR3185 (hand will need some modding to fit).

For LN, it’s got be ARF. It is wearable straight ootb. Putting in a VR3185 makes it even more reliable.
