GMF released a GMT 3186 clone movement

After receiving the VR by mistake the last QC run, is this definitely V3? Also I see a slight speed bump so not sure if I could get better?
I don’t know why the transition line between colours seems so harsh but don’t know if it’s enough to RL?

To me those look good. I don’t think transitions are THAT harsh. And the 8 is better than mine, very good. That’s a good watch on first glimpse. I’d take it. Especially with the new movement they have apparently popped in all of a sudden

Annoyingly I already bought a 3185 to pop in so may have one going spare once I confirm the movement is already in the watch if anyone wants it, I'll sort them out once I know.

Those are really terrible pics, some of those markers look like they're flat black. TD is not using any strong light source, which allows for easier capture of the dial and hands and no unwanted reflections in the cyclops.The insert looks like standard GMF fare, and I think will look much better in brighter light, showing the true platinum color in the markers. The speed bumps will be much less noticeable in brighter light as well. You could ask for a better lit insert pic if you want.

Just a thought that crossed my mind today, do you think that the factory that makes the SA3186 has updated the movement to improve or make it look more gen just like the factories do with the watches? So it might be an updated or new version SA3186? I think it's unlikely, but there may be a possibility that they are trying to copy the VR3185.

Not likely bro IMO. There are too many things different between the SA and VR for these recent QCs not to be VRs. There would be no real incentive to improve the SA when someone else has already done it for you. There's no monopoly on the market for them like there is on the SA4130 and they aren't more expensive. So it makes sense to just start using them.
Currently on the hunt for the VR3185, give me a shourt if if this becomes available

It looks like GMF is now using the VR3185 movement, which is a good thing for everyone. VR>SH>SA
THe 3186 engravings are wrong on these models, they should have a fake engraving of 3285.
The Pepsi insert is garbage. Look at the 6 transition - white jagged glue line. Red color is not accurate, 18 transition is off, markers are thin. 1's are not accurate.

Talk about garbage insert, look at the just accepted QC pics of my 126710BLNR from VRF. The fonts are decent but that 18 transition and bump in 6 is killing me. Anyways, this is a donor watch that I purchased for the movement and dial.
Yeah that's par for the course on a VRF BLNR. Shame because otherwise it's a decent enough watch with the best movement. Good enough for me OOTB at a fair price but for the insert.

Those are all the 2824 CHS timebomb models. So GMF is moving away from them altogether. It's about time. Noob will have to follow at some point, and the others as well.
Does GMF with VR movement now at the top of our options? Or still keep on hold, you guys recommend?

That doesn't look like a GMF based on the movement.

My guess is that it's a factory with a release of all three.
But whichever it is, they seem to almost intentionally avoid showing rehaut engraving.
That looks like a VR so maybe they're just finally releasing the other models.
