Got the Green dail yesterday, i felt the weight of the watch immediately, went to the scale 166 grams. Top feels heavy even the braclet has weight to it. I very happy, gonna order a white gold version right away. The only thing that sucks is the waiting time to get these watches ;)
Pls post a few pics, thanks

Is there a tungsten heavy version of the WG/Plat with Olive Green dial?

No you can’t call out the DD based on the bezel!
You 100% can. Its actually the quickest and easiest way as I own both gen and reps. You can actually see it at some distance.

The issue is how flat the "R factory" makes the facets on the bezel. They will reflect a single color, are sharp and crisp. The reps facets are not flat and will reflect differently, telling you instantly its a rep.

When a gen Rolex gets its bezel "polished" by someone inexperienced trying to sell it, it destroys the sharp edges and surfaces. You have to replace the bezel.

Hope this helps in quickly ID'ing reps

Here is an example from the thread.

The green arrow shows how mushy where the facet meets the top tooth. There is a line there that reflects light as its not sharp, its rounded.

Same with the red arrow, but this time between facets. There is a line that reflects light as its rounded, not sharp. Yuk.

The blue arrow shows an actual facet not being perfectly flat, so it reflects differently than the gen, which is perfectly flat.

My point, is its a really big tell if you have spent time around gen bezels. It just looks very different.

Yes, of course ! 0.1% of the world population that is actively around GEN DD bezels will call this out as REP.

@NewtUK how is the weight distribution? does it feel even on the wrist or is it off like i.e. top to heavy vs. bracelet?

From steve at the onewatvh on WhatsApp. Although it’s been 2 weeks and no QC pictures yet. I’d go with Jtime now if I didn’t have a deposit. He seams to of been the first TD to get these.
Nothing from PT

Anyone have the weight of just the head? I like to wear on rubberb or oysterflex so if the head weight is good, I dont much care about the bracelet. Will they be doing this on any yachtmaster?

I never cared for the weight! But can anyone else see how badly the day fonts are on some of these. They are either misaligned, positioned more to the left, or not centered enough. Or they are either too high up, almost touching the border walls. This is an instant tell for me. All gen have precisely aligned days for everyday of the week.

No doubt….but a lot of it depends on the angle of view. Unless you’re looking at it dead on straight it will always look skewed. Compare with the date font when making a call on this….. you’ll see from the pics here that the date can’t be seen which tells you the whole watch face is on an angle making the DAY aperture skewed as well.
