I have only ever had one watch on mesh, it was a fossil. The only reason I kept it so long was because the mesh was super comfortable. I'm a fan of mesh. Now I gotta get a gen breatling SOH on mesh

That's what Dave said. Look at this PAM! I wants...

your sarcasm isn't appreciated. I'm looking for genuine advice on my black bay

My advice would be to get a Swiss movement put in. Tudor uses Swiss ETA's in there gens so swapping a ETA in would be almost like swapping in a gen movement. Then you won't have any power reserve issues or reliability concerns.

That's great advice thank you. What about the cp as DVNE had the Canon pinion could be a problem. If I get a swiss 2824 do I slso need to acquire an h4 conversion?

Does that mean I need to get mine apart first and see what I'm dealing with before even deciding on a movement? Those goofy long tube hands eh

Probably be a good idea.....but....if you got short tube hands on there, it means you got a H4 setup on the movement, those parts could be transfered over to the new movement, but then of course it wont be 100% swiss, but its an option

Hey man... I just had a problem in mine as well, but v1..Swapped in a gen ETA 2824-2. Took about 30 minutes, including what Dave said. I had to swap the tube whee as well (I think that's what it's called). Popped off the DW as well. Super quick and easy. Best thing I could have done. :)

Nice man! I don't know if I'm ready to tackle something like that. We'll I'm sure I can do it buy I don't have the time until the summer. Did you also swap the tudor rotor over to your new swiss eta?

Yes, I did! I swapped the wheel, and two gear trains relating to the hands. I took off the date wheel, and the locking teeth mechanism and spring (whatever that's called).. YouTube yours best friend, if you have questions. Many videos about the 2824. Especially since nothing you're taking off is under pressure, it won't explode when you take screws off Lol

Ok folks! So the good news is I have officially opened my first case back!!:clap: The bad news is i held the case in this chinese case holder and it left little baby scratches on the polished side of my case in two spots.

So if you all would be so kind to take a look at the movement and let me know what you think, anything relevant. I noticed when I hand wind the crown the rotor moves, when i rotate the rotor round and round the gears turn each other and I hear a click every few rotation. Other than that I think everything looked normal to me. Of course I have no idea what to look for.

I can take more photos if I didn't show the right things.

Thanks in advance

I am not sure if anything is going to come from this Maron.. [emoji20] do you have a puffer? Blow out the movement a little bit, and see if that helps

How much does the rotor move when you wind it ?

You changed your mind about swapping it out ?
