Not sure if thats a gen dial or aftermarket you posted but here is a better version for anyone that wants to compare since lighting appears similar both in stick form and roman numeral.

Bro, that dial is from diamond district. 100% authentic or else money back... Gen is dark blue, rep is just blue. 100% real facts.

I am not sure about DJII, but the Gen blue DJ is white gold.

This rep has all the correct hallmarks for that. This means that the remark about the marking on the clasp is incorrect and the rep is corrcet. :)

It even has hallmarks inside the case although here it is less convincing as the polishing here cannot hide that it really is steel.

But for once, this really is a 1:1 assuming that the DJII version of the DJ really exists. If it does not, this seems to be one helluva fantasy.

I think the gen has white gold on the flute bezel only, the case and bracelet is 904 SS

The 36mm Datejust is white gold:

However the one this rep is based on is the 41mm DJII which, as you correctly point out, has a steel case and bracelet and a white gold bezel. That makes the rep either inaccurate or a fantasy depending on your mood.

I was not aware of the DJII model when I wrote the previous post.

When Rolex has two so similar - and yet so different - models, I am happy with the fantasy white gold DJII. As long as it is consistent as this one seems to be.

So think I will leave my previous post unchanged for now.

Let's say: there is one special 36 mm model which is completely made from white gold. This model was only sold with leather strap.
The "normal" 36 mm "white gold" version has only a WG bezel.

It's not really consistent, as they put the gold markings on the models independend of what the material for the model is - e.g. my DD-PT rep also has gold stamping :lol1:

You are right about there being a 36mm steel case version as well as a 36mm white gold case version.

As to consistency I did not refer to the rep range as a whole. Only this specific one. To me it has become a fantasy white gold version, and a good one at that. I still like it.

The DD gold case seems to be used a lot for all sorts of DD and DJ rep versions. Not exclusively though. There are reps where the case has no stamps (correct for steel). But no versions with platinum stamps.

The good news is that only nerds like myself would ever know or quite possibly care. There are so many DD and DJ versions that nobody sane can keep track of them ... (and as we have just seen I can't either..... ;) )

That I couldnt say due to the the larger head these have a larger dial than typical and I have never measured a gen DJII dial. From what I have seen and observed though, this is one of the best reps out of the box for accuracy. The rep dial is supported by a larger spacer to accomidate the gap around the ETA movement. I would imagine the gen to have a similar set up given the size of a 3135 movement.

Great review I received mine from BK but comparing the pictures from this post to mine I see that mine has more of a dull blue dial without the shine! Not sure which one is better but all else being equal I kind of like the shine dial better
