Thanks for the side by side mate. I own a JF 15400 blue dial with prof Xtal and it is amazing!!! I also performed the rotor silencing mod and it is now as quiet as a mouse. Its amazing to see how close to the gen it is. An acquaintance recently spotted my watch and asked if he could have a look (whilst on my wrist). He previously worked in a watch boutique and sold many APs. He did not believe me when I said to him it was a rep!!!!!!!He though it looked amazing. I absolutely love mine!!!!!

This quote is all you need to say to persuade someone to get a JF AP Rep

The 15400 is amazing as Gen and so is the Replica. I will definitly get one soon.
Its design is so diffrent, I love that 8-edged case, the bracelet and especialy the dial...

It's hard to decide between the sexy, masculine blue dial and the puristic, defined silver dial...
I first tended to blue, but now I'm more into silver. Either way, both are stunning and classy, in a modern way!

I wasn't a fan of ap then I bought a cheap version just to see what the fuss was about abd then actually enjoyed the style even though this was a £30 quartz it was just to get an idea.

I then read loads on them and I became enthused by the double ar so I bought a jd white dial then a blk dial came up and I bought that as well.

I love white faced watches but can never pull it off for some reason it just doesn't suit me or I think !! But the blk / gray is amazing

I am enjoying both of them very much given little time for my Rolex, Pams, omega and breitling but im hoping this will ensure I have a complete abd diverse collection for any occasion and how im feeling on the day thanks again for the review !!

Great watch, congrats mate!

I'm looking to pick up one but uncertain about the blue or silver dial,
I guess that under some light reflects the blue dial rep. could seem too much brighter..
may I ask you if you have had opportunity to compare your blue with a gen.?

^gen blue dial is very very rare.

Gen blue is also very dynamic in colour, it changes shade/tone depending on lighting/angle etc.

Therefore, it is hard to define what gen blue SHOULD look like.

Hence, you won't get called out on shade of blue (there are other tells).

My advise would be to get the colour that looks most pleasing to YOUR eyes.

Here's my JF 15400 v2 (with profs x2AR). Only problem with x2AR is that it makes it easier to see the crappy paint job (eg. Missing minute markers and poor Swiss made print):

Thank you, sir, I appreciate it.
@mech500
I have problems finding the 15400 jf v2 version. At puretime and chazingtime there are no v2.

Edit: After reading " Thread: JF 15400,the "new" batch.", I guess the watch at puretime is v2, because that is what Tigerdragon said, when posting this picture:

Yes. That is v2.

The factories have not officially acknowledged a v2 (only members have noticed the different dial and are calling the latest version v2 etc).

Hoping someone can help me here, since I don't have the permission to make a thread myself;

I'm looking to purchase a JF 15400 white/silver dial from a TD. Does anyone know which TD I should go to considering I'm in the UK? Also which movement is best to go for with this watch? Looking to purchase ASAP, my birthday is at the end of this month and would love to have it in time for it.

Cheers.

Go with any TD you like, however I would recommend chanzingtime, Ryan, or Toro Bravo as those are guys I've dealt with.
Buy JF 15400 v2. It comes with only one movement Miyota which is kinda loud but very solid and reliable.

Is it safe to order from a TD's website (of course after speaking to them)?

I've only had replies from chazingtime and toro bravo, which Of the 2 would they recommend?

Thanks.

There is a reason why they are called "trusted" dealers.... both chazing and toro good. Do a bit of reading, read their reviews in this forum.

I'm a huge fan of my JF rep. What is the weight comparison to the Gen? Is this documented somewhere (granted all the links are intact)? Also, do you know if there is a datewheel font comparison photo out there?

I am in UK too, bought from toro around 2
Months ago, paid by WU. Watches arrived in less than a week, couldnt be happier. I am sure you noticed toros emails may be a little on the brief side, be the service is second to none.
