The most pleasent to my eyes btw in terms of hatmonx between bulie and red lol
The bezel looks good but it’s that meteorite dial that steals the show. What factory produces that beautiful watch and do you think more are available?

general consensus is still considering the v1 colours absolutely off and crap ?
I like my V1 and its no-shocking colours very much...and it seem to me very similar to the V3 in the pics above.
May I wear it with confidence without the risk of obvious tell ?

Which one do you personally prefer?
at the moment i’m in love with the V2 after putting it on the oyster. i like the brighter blue and the red looks fantastic under different lighting. sometimes the red appears very deep, sometimes faded. V3 would probably be my 2nd choice now, it used to be my first. i just wish the blue was brighter but it is very accurate to gen mk3 bezel blue from pics i’ve seen online. i actually sold the V3S but just bought another one recently after realizing it may be accurate to gen mk2 bezel, and i wanna have all three gen mimics in my collection. here’s a photo of my old V3S that i sold:

found this photo online of supposed gens. the ones on oyster look like MK1, which is almost exactly what my V2 looks like in person most of the time, down to the darker bezel numbers. the ones on jubilee are either MK2 or MK3, i can’t tell for sure.

can you post pics of your V1? if it’s the one with the burgundy bezel then yes, it’s very off.

So what is the actual difference with the V3 and V3s?
Also why do you prefer the V3 over V3s?
And is the V3s in UV light alot better then the V3?
Sorry about all the questions just don't come across many people who own all of them.

When it comes to bezel version number, bear in mind, these versions are from the discussions here.
In China, the local dealers there have different bezel version numbering.

Based on what has been discussed in this thread :
V1 = Very distinct color, red appear brownish under certain lighting condition
V2/V2S = Appear washed/pastel-like color under normal light
V3 = Darker color compared to V2 under normal light. Only blue color part glows red under UV (UV glow cut off at 6 & 18)
V3S = Slightly brighter compared to V3 but still more vivid than pastel-like V2 under normal light. Whole bezel glows red under UV

AFAIK, local dealers in China call RWI V2,V2S,V3 as V2 and RWI V3S as V3. The main differentiator for them is how the UV glows.

So what is the actual difference with the V3 and V3s?

AFAIK V1 color doesn't exist on gen.

If you enjoy the color wear it. In my opinion the V1 still has the best blue for my tastes.

People here are obsessed about chasing gen but the reality of the matter is noone will know or care unless you are wearing it amongst rolex nerds (and I mean they have to KNOW their Rolex)

If you are in situation where someone know bezel color by heart and all 3 gen variants then there is larger tells on Clean Pepsi

Agree with reaps, just buy what you like. Whatever version is ok as long you enjoy the watch.

well when i had both i preffered the V3’s cherry red over the V3S’s tomato-ish red. but the V3 colors can look pretty dark sometimes so i decided to give the V3S another shot. you really have to wear these watches in many different situations to see which one you like. something i never did with the V3S. photos online won’t cut it. the bezel changes colors wildly based on lighting, you have to see them in person.

but yes, main difference between the two is that V3 has a darker red than V3S, and maybe a slightly darker blue as well.
