Thanks
Hey brother is that a blue dial on your gmt. Did you modify a DD3285 or is that the older 3186 version. Regardless beautiful. I modified a clean 3285 with a blue dial (sadly it was stolen a month after getting it). So I took the easy way out and picked up a blue dial gmt with a 3186 movement. Gotta say I miss the 72 hour reserve. Thanks for posting. I was debating a picking up a v3 but the blue on the dial with the darker shade of blue on the v3 bezel Is definitely the right call. The lighter shad of blue on the stock gets washed out too easily. Well done and thank you.
the dial is black. with sunlight and reflection it looks blue. in fact if you see the photo of @Digitaldorifto it is practically identicalHey brother is that a blue dial on your gmt. Here’s my V3 on the left, V2 in the middle and Xing on the right for comparison. I don’t recall what version Xing I have but I received it about 1 year ago. It is extremely difficult to capture the true colors of each bezel but after having had all three, I can say, the V3 is my favorite. IMO the V3 looks the most gen like. I do prefer the V2 over Xing because the version I have has too much Pink.
Here is the V3 in natural light.
The middle bezel has the platinum mod. The platinum coating on the triangle is uneven and creates shadows. It’s not partially missing but the pictures make it look that way.The platinum on your V2 has partially disapeared? It looks like on your pic. I ordered the Xing and V3 because my v2 insert has the platinum fade on the triangle and didn’t see in QC pics. But I really like the V2 colors.
Wow. Thanks. Looks great. Either way - V3 is the call- especially with my blue dial Thanks for your responsethe dial is black. with sunlight and reflection it looks blue. in fact if you see the photo of @Digitaldorifto it is practically identical
Most gen like? Compared to what?I can say, the V3 is my favorite. IMO the V3 looks the most gen like. I do prefer the V2 over Xing because the version I have has too much Pink.
Latest one from my dealer, no idea which VStock V3? Looks fantastic
Having held various genuine Pepsi models I feel like the V3 is most GEN like compared to the most current BLRO released by Rolex. Here is a recent picture I took at a local AD, and my V3 using similar lighting in a Rolex box. You are absolutely correct that all current versions look beautiful but I prefer the V3.Most gen like? Compared to what?
According to TRF, Gen BLRO insert has 4 different variants: Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, and Mk4.
Gen BLRO Mk1 is the pastel purple + pink tones, with thinner insert markers.
Gen BLRO Mk3 was the darkest, with thicker insert markers.
Gen BLRO Mk4, 2024 models, seems to be lighter than Mk3 and with a bit more blue and red tones showing.
People shouldn't get so wrapped up with which insert "version" is closest to gen, because even gen insert BLRO colors are all over the place.
And people should please stop asking "which version do I have." It's 2000+ posts with the constant same question and same photos of the blro insert over and over again.
Pick one and enjoy, cause they're all beautiful.
