There's two different modders, Tomrep and Spongebob, who do YM bezel mods. Not sure how they do it but they treat the insert so it has a better sand blasted look. It's pretty expensive though so I'm hoping this clean version won't require it.

I won't even bother with it at all. This CF RG YM40 is completely wrong in almost every aspect.

He gave the right advice. Even if you plate it to get rid of that horrid bronze color, the case shape is completely different.
Appreciate the feedback from all. I didn’t realize the shape was that materially different from gen (to my untrained eye, of course). Such a shame!
Tomrep bezel mod is 99% close to gen. It last very long time even if its gets dirty, a light steam cleaner will turn it back to super clean without losing the sandblast effect or color it’s almost 2 year’s daily wearing and tom mod didn’t fade or change.

Movement is very smooth and runs like a champ (+2 sec. In 24 hours).

My Clean YM arrived on Friday and it will arrive at TomRep tomorrow. I ordered another Clean YM yesterday and will do a comparison between these two (CF YM Tomrep and the CF YM)

Nice! We couldn't have asked for more... eager to see that side-by-side comparison and your own hands-on observations with and without the modding.
This will be interesting. I flipped my other YM 116622/126622 reps (including a Noob TomRep) to justify the purchase of the Clean. I'm hoping the Clean insert will be very good OOTB.
I don't think Tomrep is needed anymore personally. Those were when ARF and Noob has YM inserts that look like stainless steel. EWF didn't need a Tomrep mod (I had Tomrep on my ARF) and when compared I decided EWF was good enough. Seems good enough here too.

Is it confirmed by the shipped watches that bezel numbers are “fatter” then genuine? Or is it just so so slightly because they look very nice on those photos ^^
