Nothing in particular, but I'm about to get a yacht master grey dial 40 and I ask for this information. Given that for other models (sub, GMT) Clean has released V2 and V3 while nothing yet for the YM. BTW, we know as movement and xtal Clean is not very good as VSF.

As far as i know, clean never announce updates with V1, V2, V3, most of the time they update in silence, and RWI or Reptime catch them differences... But if you wanna know about future updates you could ask @CTime

Nothing changed for this model. Maybe they use the new CF3235 with higher power reserve. I still think Clean is better than VS. The dial and bezel better. VS has crystal and movement maybe for franken.

Thanks, so I think to go with Clean and if deep xtal is better than Clean I swap it

I think the Clean rep is almost perfect.
One can even see the LEC.

And if everything is aligned correctly even the Rehaut is on the correct position.

BUT with that said, I think this watch, which I just recently bought, is just too flashy for me.
I´m more the 5-digit Subs guy and therefore will probably get myself a Flat Four LV.

Changing xtal with deep, do you know if it is necessary to change the gasket too? Someone says deep has a different thickness...

I read that Clean has improved the xtal with last GMT reps and so the upgrade to deep isn't yet required. Does anyone know if this also happened for the recent Yacht Master 40 ?

Not sure if it's been improved but clean xtal looks great stock on the rhodium. Has great black hole effect. Not worth deep xtal and barely worth upgrading to gen xtal

Also my clean YM has been running at +0.5 seconds a day now for the past week. I was considering the VS for the better movement but after owning the clean I don't see how the movement could get much better then that lol. Only time will tell when it comes to reliability

Hello guys, I ordered to Sead the YM 40 Clean, I just received QC pics.

Taking a general look at the alignments, it seems to me that the alignment of the date is not successful (I see the number 8 a little higher up)... Is this a tolerable inaccuracy in your opinion ?

Furthermore, the indices on the bezel at 5 and 9 o'clock do not seem well aligned to me. What do you think? Thanks.

Nitpicking. I've seen worse. Remember it's on the wrist.

I don't think the "8" is higher.

You can always swap out the DW for another one.
I think it is a great base to start with.
Although to me: the bezel is shifted towards the left, as you can see on your picture with the lines on it.

Yes maybe DW is ok.
I don't know if is only bezel shifted to left, if you look up it seems almost aligned, instead down the "30" of bezel and the index at 5 o'clock seem more misaligned. Maybe it can be an effect due to the angle of the photo ?

With these photos it is not possible to analize the color of the dial and other details, I at least try to understand that there are no obvious misalignments.
