The Yachtmaster from BP (bezel) even has better processing than ARF!Don't forget that the case shape and finishing on the ARF is really, really bad.

Thank you very much! A fine summary of the state of the art of this YM, worth gold for everyone researching this model!I've had almost every variant of this watch and used to own the 16622 long ago. I've handled the gen many times at the local boutique and am still on the waiting list so it's a watch that I'm heavily invested in. Here are my thoughts about all flaws I noticed and why the Clean looks like the best one so far.
EWF: Great bezel and bracelet, but blue writing on the dial is too dark and the crown guards are off. Movement is crap and a timebomb.
GMF: Dial is great and the crown guards are better, but the bezel is crap and the bracelet isn't the best. Newer version has the VR movement instead of the SA3135. I reviewed this watch on this forum if you want to see pictures.
ARF: Great bezel but the writing on the dial is too dark. Same as the EWF, hour markers are too small as well but I think this is an optical illusion due to the shine from the material as they look good in pictures. Bracelet is fantastic.
Noob: I had the ETA version and the dial was great, but the same problem as most of them regarding the blue writing being too dark. Crown guards are off and the bezel, although good, clicks more like a sub than a gen yacht-master which is a soft click.
CSF: Good dial if you get one with the hour markers straight. Crown guards yet again off but the bracelet is good. The movement is the same as Clean but the bezel isn't as good. If they corrected their insert then it would be a close second to the Clean.
I held on to my Noob and CSF but recently flipped them to justify buying the Clean version. This looks amazing and there's some things that are better than other versions.
- Blue writing on the dial is 100% from the looks of things. How the other factories never corrected this is beyond me.
- Crown guards and case look identical.
- VR3235 movement on a 126622 dial (EWF had this the wrong way).
- Bezel looks great, might benefit from a Tom Rep blasting but I'll determine that when mine arrives.
This looks like the holy grail of this watch, so much so that I've removed my signature requesting someone to sell me the 3135 version of the Noob. I think this will have NWBIG status once it gets on enough members wrists. The comparison video on YouTube near the end in normal light shows how accurate it is.
You're welcome mate, great to see a factory stepping up and doing it properly. Looks like there's a bit of buzz around it. Maybe other factories will follow like they do with subs.Thank you very much! A fine summary of the state of the art of this YM, worth gold for everyone researching this model!
Would be heaven if VSF produce one with the VS movement. You're welcome mate, great to see a factory stepping up and doing it properly. Looks like there's a bit of buzz around it. Maybe other factories will follow like they do with subs.
Agreed, I keep thinking that this is almost perfect, but the VR3235 always reminds me of a bit of a nothing movement. The VS3235 would really top this off.Would be heaven if VSF produce one with the VS movement.
I wish them would make the 37 version...
Wow, very informative and impressive. You were talking about the blue one. How about the gray one? what do you think about it?I've had almost every variant of this watch and used to own the 16622 long ago. Sorry, I was talking about the grey/rhodium one. The blue I was referring to is the writing that says 'yacht-master', which has always been darker than the gen in older reps.Wow, very informative and impressive. You were talking about the blue one. Forget about the timegrapher readings from TD's, they always look weird. I really can't understand why they always achieved such a high amp rate. In some cases, higher values do not necessarily mean better.Just had my QC pics for the watch which I ordered 2 days ago!
The watch looks absolutely amazing but the timegrapher readings show the following:
Rate -3s/d
Amp. 317
Err 0.0ms
Lift 55.0
Isn't the Amp on the high side at 317? Advice please from those who know
