I actually have both (blue 126622). The Gen and the rep. And I wear them both. Gen to work. Rep to the beach and other outdoor activities. A closer look does show big color differences in the dial. But also the bezel of the rep is to "white" that annoys me but others still cannot tell I suppose.

The bezel being too white is similar to the rep fluted bezel on the Datejust. A lot of people think it looks nice as it is, but for those who owns gen knows the bezel color shade is a night and day difference. Precious metal such as White Gold and Platinum has a warmer tone.

My personal philsophy when it comes to inaccuracies in reps is how does it still look in a vacuum even if it is different than gen. For example, the ARF YMs, I absolutely hated cause the finishing of the case is bad and the lugs are DHGate level. If the CF blue is different, which it is, but still looks pleasing to the eye that's all that matters to me, even if its not gen like.

Yeah, watches don't have to be 1:1 to gen to enjoy wearing. All depends on what you're okay with.

For me, the CF Pepsi has a bad shade of red, so I'm out. The ZF Submariners have bad SEls, I'm out. The PPF Nautilus has a different shape bezel, but I like it, and even prefer it to gen, so I have one. The blue on this YM, I like, so I'm in. As long as you don't try to sell it off as some gen then who cares. It's stunning even if the shade is off. If the dial looks cheap then yeah that's not good. But if build quality is great, I don't mind a difference.

That's strange, but it seems to me that on the video with a comparison of YM grey dial, the bezel looks almost identical, while on the video with YM blue, the bezel on clean looks more white than gen

Same, I got that impression too. Not sure if it's really light conditions because there is movement here and there within the vid... If it's inconsistent bezels then dang, there's another QC issue to worry about, hahaha...

you need to remember the watch is covered in plastic as well which throws it off
