I just got my Clean Factory LV dial, and posted two photos of it, one outdoors on a cloudy day, one indoors with little ambient light. The latter one looks pretty black to me.

Gen vs reps hands generally look the same in pics. It’s always hard to showcase the beauty of gen hands in pics.

In real life the ZZF hands look off to my eyes.
And I am a gen collector, did a gen vs noob v6s hulk review years ago.

However, I must say that the CF dial is stunning.

The colour and detail sparkles on the gen hands in a way reps never do! Gen are white gold of course and no plated hands will ever match, not even arf versions.

Yeh ARF hands are beginning to piss me off as well. Hate the ghost white, flat,
Non textured lume that ARF uses. Just looks ugly. Sure, nobody else will know the difference but I don’t care what other think of my watch on my wrist.

I got a CF dial on order. Will swap into an ARF v3 hulk and add gen hands (and obligatory gen crystal/DW). That’s as close as I’m gonna get to my old gen:

Fortunately the rep inserts don’t bother me. I don’t like the noob pearls but apart from that I can live with ARF.

Really excited about these new generation dials (CF sub dial and ZF 15400 dial), we should start seeing some real game changer Watches next year. Hopefully we’ll eventually get a rep sub that doesn’t require mods

In pics you won’t see difference. In real life gen hands MAKE the sub IMO. The depth, 3D curvature and sparkle of gen hands really looks beauty irl.

That’s Where you’re wrong, you can spot rep hands right away, they just look wrong as they did on this model.

Probably i'm blind and you've got eagle eyes, but I see people with rolex very often where I live and in real life you talk with the person not with theyr wrist at 20cm...so spot things like this is not possible.

However I'm sure gen hands would be better than the rep

Nobody will spot rep hands from 20cm on your wrist...But that’s not the point.

if you’re used to seeing gen hands on YOUR own watch and then one day you swap to rep hands, the rep hands will look ugly to YOUR eyes (not others).

But I don’t want to distract from how good these reps actually are. We just like to nit pick for fun in the forums. Gives us something to talk about. Haha

Ilthabld to tickleshoes I got the dial put on and it looks good. It has angles where it gets really dark but they're different than on the BP dial. Just a subtle different angle. Also I think it has a more even green glow. But I have to check it out in different light/situations/angles and see how it catches my eye.
