The overly bold bezel font, which doesn't arc around the dial is a huge tell IMO.

The boldness is my issue as well.

It's the correct hand set from what I see.

For the polar it's glossy black for the 216570 and matte for the 226570.

The clean 226570 polar appears to have the matte black hands which is correct

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear - it's the dial that's wrong, creating a dial/handset mismatch. The dial is from a 216570, which has domed, glossy indices. 226570 indices are flat (finish and shape). I posted some pictures a few pages back.

IMO this is a much more obvious fuck up than the bezel font.

I’m not so sure. My eye can quickly see parallel or co-linear lines vs. divergent lines. I agree it’s a tiny detail, but an artifact of our vision is that we tend to notice parallel lines (or their absence) quite easily.

I haven't seen any QC of this boy other than the pictures I posted..... again it seems like the Explorer 2, despite all OUR ramblings, is generally not popular

I know from before Clean made their own dials and inserts for submariners and so on. But on these new releases do they make the dial themselves? Or just ordered from 3rd party and assembled by Clean?

Can you feedback to CF on the bezel error as well. I've been here a long time, and the bezel font - as well as the weak orange text and dark lume (both of those fixed) was the main reason folks held back on getting one...

The donut shaped hour markings are still there right. Was this ever the case in gen explorers?

Ordered a black and white dial. Cannot fucking wait!!! Since I sold my gen 216570 polar (biggest regret I have). I have been chasing the perfect polar... And this is the closest I'll get lol.
