This Explorer, as Orange strapped up as it is, is a watch I guess

I picked up an orange rubber strap from Amazon for C$40

I didn’t have high hopes, but it’s not bad. It was easy enough to cut to length and it works with the Clean deployment clasp (the included clasp is trash). My one complaint is that the vertical fit between the lugs isn’t great — it sits a bit low (probably 1.5-2.0mm too low). But it’s a nice low cost option. If this watch enters my regular rotation, then I’ll spring for a Rubber B or Everest strap.

I'm curious if a set of SEL for a Sky Dweller would fit on an Explorer 2 case. I'm thinking of trying a non-curved end oysterflex style strap and thought these might help fill the gap between the case and the strap. The Sky Dweller is also a 42mm case diameter, so I'm hoping that the radius of curvature is the case as the 42mm Explorer 2.

My SEL + 22mm oysterflex hasn’t arrived yet. But I did pick up an inexpensive ($10 AliExpress) Everest style rubber strap and it fits quite nicely. The previous ($40 Amazon) orange rubber strap left several mm of space between the bezel and the top of the curved rubber. This black on fits really nicely. But unfortunately it doesn’t have a 9mm wide end on both sides so I can’t integrate it with the quick adjust link.

What can I say, a big improvement in the movement compared to the GMF and overall excellent quality as usual with Clean watches!

Don't know if it's just the honeymoon phase but this watch is getting 90% wrist time at the moment. My VSF 124060 is taking a frequent backseat recently. Found this Namokimods nato from my SKX and really enjoying it, much better quality than the last Amazon $10 one.

I am selling my Pepsi because of the Ex 2. It is the superior watch despite not having a bidirectional bezel. I only wish that a high level replica of the 5 digit would come
