Outstanding Hands On Review!
I stumbled upon this post by a TD which seems like a really great deal on a new Daytona rep release. $668 preorder for these new Clean 126500s.
( No affiliation and I have not purchased from this TD )
Maybe a price war brewing if the other TDs will match this price?
Read the post. It literally says, “the super special offer for Clean's Daytona 116500 LN white/black dial is $668 now,”Is this legit? My TD (fengtony) says this price is not possible and they put clean stickers from another factory in the 126500.
I have a hard time believing that there are already other factories making this watch?
I know but the 126500 is offered here for 738$. I got quoted 838$.Read the post. It literally says, “the super special offer for Clean's Daytona 116500 LN white/black dial is $668 now,”
The $668 price is for the previous gen, 116500…
But to answer your question, the new 126500 CAN be had for under $700 USD from non TDs. Yes, legit Clean. But you must do your due diligence and proceed at your own risk.
I think I can clarify here. Clean is giving a $100 credit because the winding rotors were not lubed at SH, and the first batches were already assembled and installed. The oil is said to quiet the rotor.I know but the 126500 is offered here for 738$. I got quoted 838$.
So why are TD prices different? I wouldn't care for 50$ or less difference..
Different animal. The 116500 ZF is a nice rep but their 126500 is grossly inaccurate—they simpy changed the dial and bezel on the old 11 case. It’s just wrong.I have seen the 126500’s advertised for less than $600.00 from a TD. It says it’s a ZF super clone.

Here’s a photo of the custom Le Mans bezel. You can see the inner metal ring as well as a bottom metal lining. So looks like the ceramic bezel sits inside that ring. What makes the most sense to me is that the metal ring would be fitted to the ceramic insert first. Probably a press fit with the ring flat on a bench and the ceramic pressed down from above. There might even be a very slight inward bevel from top to bottom in the ceramic to facilitate a safer and easier fitting. Once fitted, I think the combined unit would act just like a bare ceramic insert without any need for concern of the ring separating. So the combined part would then be pressed over the crystal gasket, and removing it would probably bring the crystal and crystal gasket along with it. Same as before, just a little added deco ring.
After spending time with the clean 126500 I am really hoping we get a great LeMans clone. Would consider trimming collection when that arrives. It’s really perfect.
