Maybe a dumb question, but what is the bezel construction like. Is the metal ring a part of the insert? Or is the metal ring fused to the case and the insert is pressed into the opening of the metal ring?
What makes the most sense to me is that the metal ring would be fitted to the ceramic insert first. Probably a press fit with the ring flat on a bench and the ceramic pressed down from above. There might even be a very slight inward bevel from top to bottom in the ceramic to facilitate a safer and easier fitting. Once fitted, I think the combined unit would act just like a bare ceramic insert without any need for concern of the ring separating. So the combined part would then be pressed over the crystal gasket, and removing it would probably bring the crystal and crystal gasket along with it. Same as before, just a little added deco ring.

Much obliged @KJ2020 . I would hope that is the case and that the ring is not fixed to the case itself.

Highly doubt that bro. It would make removing the crystal unnecessarily complicated, and impose too much risk to the bezel.

Hope these help. @KJ2020 you’re genius 😎

These photos of the new 12650x case with the Bezel removed show a detail that no one has mentioned yet?...

The new redesigned Solid End Links extend under the Bezel covering the corners, resulting in a cleaner look for the SEL fit.

So the Rubber Oysterflex Bands and Stainless Steel Bands are not interchangeable, because the Cases are different too.

Never knew that, Thanks for pointing it out.

Sad news, I wanted to get a black 126500 + oysterflex for a stealth look.
Seems compromised and better go with 116500 then?

But it’s the same on steel models—with 116500 you still need aftermarket end links to cover the Oysterflex. On the Oysterflex models the end link cant be used on steel models.
