Do you see some flaws inreal life?
it’s confirmed the Clean crystal on the new 12 Daytona is much improved and clearer. To your general question, a model without a cyclops crystal has less flaws..Isn't it a crystal - the biggest give away?
I see, even clean Explorer (and 11 clean Daytona) has "foggy" glass under some angle.
I wonder if they fixed it in new Daytona.
I personally would not remember how "founts" should look like to see them on a hand of a guy in a caffee but glass might be very visible - its big an foggy
Agreed. I haven’t been this impressed with an out-of-the-box watch since the vsf sub
Looks like you have both, Daytona 12, and vsf sub 41 mm. Are they on the same level or Sub has fewer flaws? (Syclop is a giveaway or not? )Agreed. I haven’t been this impressed with an out-of-the-box watch since the vsf sub

Thanks.Interesting question. Yes this 12 Clean is, as is the 11 Clean. Just the new 12 is even better all round. Micro inaccuracies aside, it’s the most gen like stock rep.
The VS Sub 41 is top in case, dial, bezel feel and ceramic insert (which is Clean insert), and of course the closest to gen crystal/cyclops—which is to say for the first time I would not bother with a gen crystal. I have not had a Clean Sub 41, only because I can’t imagine the crystal being as good. I mean my Clean GMT V2 crystal is great, just not as VS. I can now say the Clean 12 crystal just looks very gen like. New crystal is clear and any reflections are smooth, and edge shape and finish looks gen.
I would point out the VS Sub 41 bracelet and clasp is beautifully made and finished, but has noticeably more play and doesn’t feel and sound as solid as an ARF bracelet. Hope this helps.
Thanks.
So summary:
VSF Sub 41mm has a very good crystal/syclop. Very close to gen.
12 Daytona also has a very good crystal very close to gen.
True.Yes. If you are intending on passing either off as genuine (which isn't the best idea, but lots of people do it on here), then the most important question should be "is this believable?". The people rocking a genuine 12 series Daytona will have half a dozen Rolex from the AD at least, and will have a disposable income to match, or they simply wouldn't qualify to obtain one. On the other hand, most middle-income people can afford a sub if they can afford other essentials like a car, a home etc. There are millions of black subs on the grey market and are now fairly close to msrp if you shop around. Both of these watches will pass the scrutiny of all but the most knowledgeable watch aficionados, but if the shoe doesn't fit, you are going to get called out regardless. There are few things more embarrassing than people who can't even afford their monthly commitments, drive a 30 year old shitter and live in social housing, rocking a brand new replica, proclaiming it to be gen.
