@Karbon74 the jkf does not fit the NH35 movement. Jkf houses 2836 with stem height of 2.25mm while NH35 has a stem height of around 1.9mm.
It will not work!

Thanks. I also read the same on another thread.
If I go NH, i would need a Raffles case and this is another can of worms.
I like the JKF case a lot.

Actually, my issues came from the damaged tube thread, which caused ripple effects. It was snagging the crown. Pls I had not glued the tube enough. And finally, my flimsy movement holder crapped on me

Anyway, I have ordered a new tube, a spare tube and crown, new stems and a spanking new seagull ST2100. plus a metal movement holder.
Let's see :)

NH will be for a 1016

I am told you need Loctite not Hypo Cement> I have never done this myself.
my first try was blue loctite. But as i mentionned, the tube-to-crown thread was snagging...and the whole thing came apart on unscrewing.
Then i used hypo, and the tube stayed in place.

however I had a click click sound on screwing, driving me crazy. When I tried to investigate, I probably took the stem off at manual wind instead of time setting, and the stem would not lock back in...

anyway, what's done is done :ROFLMAO: I learned a lot

stock bracelet?
Yes indeed but will probably be worn on my heavily worked on 7206 Viet Rivet bracelet with gen clasp cover. I also have another reworked 93510 bracelet which might go with it too.

If the tube doesn't fit you may have to retap the tube hole on the case

The best is to check the rivet on the other side with a caliper

4. tried with the new Ali stem...yup Keyless fucked up. Impossible to insert and lock the stem into it

In which position did you put the crown when removing the stem ?
For 2836 / 2824 crown should be in winding position to remove the stem.
+ lube the stem before insert the stem back

thanks. What oil should I use for the stem?

for the position, I don't remember. My movement slipped feom the cheapo plastic holder and this is what messed everything up...I am waiting for a metal holder to start resetting the keyless.

But I will try the stem oiling first. who knows...maybe it will work

Moebius 9501 grease ... just a little drop on the tip of the stem and on the 4 sides of the square that the sliding-pinion slides up and down
I also use Moebius 8300 ... a little more sticky but works well

Plastic movement holder
To work on the downside of a movement you definitely need a metal movement holder to avoid damaging the second wheel pinion
To work on the dial side, as long as you removed the automatic winding parts, you can use any clean and flat surface
I use a cushion like this ... good copy of the Bergeon 5395-75 and 1/3 of the price

To properly reset a 28XX keyless works you can have a lot there ... all steps are detailed

Removing stem on 28XX movements ... ALWAYS with the crown/stem in winding (1st) position (when you've worked for years on chinese 2813 or same it sounds and looks weird as with those movements the stem/crown must be in hour setting (3rd) position)
First wind the movement a bit so that the balance starts moving ... that way you can be almost certain that your stem is in 1st position
Gently press the release button ... NOT too much ... them pull the stem out

If you already messed up the keyless works then no chance you can insert the stem ... even with lubrication
