Supposedly, yes.Seems a reasonable assumption, but is Clean going to make this one? I haven’t heard anything.
I think it's more likely that BTF doesn't have access to the correct hands. The non-diamond platinum daytona has unique hands which are not found on any other current Daytona. As far as I can tell from the pics on the official rolex website, the non-dimond platiunum daytona is the only daytona that has hour and minute hands which do not have the black stripe down the middle. I suspect it's very unlikely that we'll see the correct hands from any factory since the volume for these products probably isn't high enough to justify a custom production. I suspect it's the same story for pushers... the pushers on platinum daytonas have 3 lines in them, but we are unlikely to see bespoke platinum style pushers for the same reason we'll never see bespoke platinum style hands.I get that the initial few pics we saw might have the wrong hands on them but i've seen a fair few different images of these now from (i'm assume?) different pieces out of the factory and they all have the hand flaw which makes no sense as BTF clearly have access to the correct hands to do the other 116500 builds they produce daily?
Or does BTF just send the same two samples out to each TD/Reviewer and it just goes from one to the next showing the same flaw?
Correct hands on this model is actually more common than you think; Both Noob and ARF had the correct hands without the black stripe. Even lower quality 116506 Daytonas did as well in between Noob/ARF shutting down and the opening up of CF, BTF, etc. BTF just got lazy on this first release imo. My guess is that CF will have the correct hands on their V1. Now to what wont be right, only time will tell.I think it's more likely that BTF doesn't have access to the correct hands. Fair play. I haul down my flag... It looks like even QF got the hands right. It's too bad they got basically everything else wrong:Correct hands on this model is actually more common than you think; Both Noob and ARF had the correct hands without the black stripe. Happens quite a lot. The prototype may be passed around a few dealers to photograph ahead of release, and it may have been thrown together from parts as well.LOL... looking at the movement pics of the QF on PureTime, you can even see that one of the three screws that secure the rotor has sheared off at the head. Ouch!!! It's a worrying sign when the QC sample you send out to TDs for pictures includes a broken off screw head bouncing around inside the movement.
Looks like they have a V2 out
