Just received a new 3135 BP SD and as always it's great on the wrist, all nice and overall good looking.

I already got a VS3135, gen tube + crown and looking for one of those WSO inserts as they look quite fine (BP is too bold IMO). Also looking for new hands has BPs are greener than dial indexes.

Mr BP I now have a question for you : what's with the fat crown guards ? The older ETA series had thinner/better shape did'nt they ?

You’ve pushed me over edge now planning upgrades

I'm hesitant between getting new hands or reluming the BPs.

If going for new hands, gen is an option of course but as I'd like to keep light price on upgrades I'm wondering what aftermarket (or rep factory) hands to go. Any advice gentlemen ?

Well, hands arrived from Ali. They are unfortunately Maxi hands :cautious:

Guess I’ll keep looking. Might just suck it up at some point and go gen hands.

When I swap the movement to vs3135 do I have to swap out the date disc? I don’t want a non period correct date disc in there

I have found adding gen parts to reps is certainly diminishing returns but gives the watch something special. Even just having a gen datewheel can make it more exciting to wear as it sets it apart from the normal rep. Will it look much different, no, will you enjoy the watch more, probably.

Waste of $175 to get the date disc guys?

Guys i’ve a question just for curiosity.
I have already researched information about this and I read that it has already been done, but I still want to have a concrete answer.
Swap between SD BP with 2824 with VR/VS 3135 movement is it plug and play? I am not referring to the dial, hands, and to the stem which are obviously different, but to the height of the hole of the stem and to the screws fixing the movement to the case.

Thanks :giggle:

I was able to swap the 2824 in mine for a VR3135. I did have to trim down the lip on the caseback a bit to let the rotor spin freely.

Also, you need 3135 dial or clip the feet on the eta dial and attach the dial to the movement or attach new feet.

About the dial there is no problem because i’ve one for 3135 as spare parts, my question is about the overall dimensions of the 3135 movement in the 2824 case :) So maybe i just need to shave down a bit internally the caseback

Hey mate, are they the standard hands you would find on an 116660? I have one with a VR3135 and it needs new hands.
