I want one of these, but does the bezel insert look off to anyone else? Maybe I'm seeing things but I've looked at a lot of gens and considered buying one. The insert looks wrong to me, like the font is too bold or something.

Will the BP take a genuine bezel insert?
The insert font is a bit fat. I've been happy swapping it for one from WSO and it fit just fine.

Your gen is unmatched, I like the snow white hands!
BP made a good job though 😀

Thanks, honestly BP is really good I just the other day looked at the pics on the previous page and thought who the hell buys the gen of this. You get a lot more for going gen with 6 digits than with 5 digits I think. But yeah I bought the gen I reminded myself.

I once had a BP based triple six franken with nice patina and all but at that time I sold it as I did not have any gens than and thought that it may attract too much attention with the right crowd.

Your's looks fantastic.

The 5 digit SD really is a special watch and mostly owned by watch nerds only :)

On a positive side its also one of the more affordable models in gen mostly the latest Luminova versions. If you venture into the tritium and triple six side of things than it will start to get much more expensive.

Found a pic of the BP based triple six franken I had.

Deem it was good ideally I would like to have that on in gen that would be awesome tritium patina, matte dial :)

Agree, these vintage models are absolutely awesome. You need a fortune to buy in gen. Fortunately, sometimes they appear in M2M. I pulled the trigger on this beautiful 1665 build. Thanks to @Nur-Uhr :)

Deem thats a nice one thats something I would really wan't in gen and a rep would do also. These older references say a lot about the wearer too.

I've exchanged couple of messages with pompompurin as he's able to build you one on request ie a double red SD. Noticed one of his reserved sales for red sub and contacted him. But unfortunately due to plexi and as he has no pressure tester he's not able to make these waterproof.

Does anyone know if the dial for the SA3135 version of the BP Sea Dweller has the proper 3135 dial feet config?

Thanks! I upgraded my ETA SD to a VR3135, but had to stick the dial on. Trying to figure out if I can source a BP 3135 dial.
Sadly the ETA feet are not the same as 3135. If you get a BP 3135 it will be a straight swap.

Just received a new 3135 BP SD and as always it's great on the wrist, all nice and overall good looking.

I already got a VS3135, gen tube + crown and looking for one of those WSO inserts as they look quite fine (BP is too bold IMO). Also looking for new hands has BPs are greener than dial indexes.

Mr BP I now have a question for you : what's with the fat crown guards ? The older ETA series had thinner/better shape did'nt they ?

I’m seriously considering the BP Polipetto, does it matter clone or 2836 if I’m going to swap movement? Interested in the bezel and hands you choose. I heard ginault bracelet is a good upgrade. Gen insert is $425

Disregard, I see above 3135 clone if I want to swap. Facepalm 🤦‍♂️
