The best factory out there

Some say so yes :)

Its a 1999 with the more rare SWISS only dial.

I would have wanted actually a triple six with patina and all but those are much more expensive specially if you want box and papers as well (toolkit and anchor would be cool also). But perhaps a next one some day will be a SD or a Sub from late 70's to early 80's with patina and perhaps a matt dial as well. Those look so good and for some reason are coming more closer to heart than the ceramic ones these days.

So glad to be back in the 5 digit Sea Dweller game.

Though its not a BP but it's still from a reputable factory :)

I recently got my BP SD back from a buddy of mine who had it for years (gave it to him when I got a rep SD4K).

The 2824 died and I swapped in another one that was alright. I recently ordered a VR3186 for when I pickup a 16710 (hopefully soon) and I found a good deal on a VR3135 movement as well.

After seeing that the 2824 and 3135 had the same stem height I figured I would give it a shot. Sure enough it fit (tight, but it fit!) and is working perfectly! Pretty happy with the results.

Waiting on some new hands, because the ones I got for the 3135 had a second hand that came messed up.

Thank you for sharing. You need a new dial as well or have you cut the feet of the ETA dial?

Forgot to mention that the 3135 movement was touching the screwdown lip on the caseback. So I had to trim that down slightly. It’s not pretty on the inside but anyone who asks to see the inside of the caseback can kick rocks ;)
