Just ordered a gen bezel. Will come back with some closeups and side by side comparrison with the 6 digit and BP bezel.

I'm looking for a kind enaugh gen owner to measure the thickness the watch. It would be great if a digital caliper is used. Hope someone with a gen 16600 sees this

Here is a 1993 gen:
Do these scallops look broached or milled ? Because if those are broaching marks then that's where the confusion came from. Still pretty confident though that many 6 digit bezels scallops were milled. Thx

Just before you posting this i found this page :

which states that the 16600 is 14.8 which is almost the same as 14.78, what the guy there had measured
)My BP 16600 measures just a hair under 15mm. I'm not using a digital caliper but i'd say it might be 14.8-14.9 mm which is great if you ask me . Oh and that's both with the gen or the rep crystal.

I didn't it's just sitting there without a gasket. But i have a plan.
Since the rehaut has almost the right height, i won't bother with working on a lathe and/or welding, bla bla.
... i'd better make a drawing. Brb

yikes.... thats a new bezel, insert , crown, dial etc ... Im surprised that the case seems ok.
Saw this Picture on Facebook it is apparently the result of the wearer being in a Motorcycle accident.
Hopefully he or she is in better shape than the SD.

The plan is to cut the gen gasket to the required height.Looks really close to gen
You need to figure out how to fit the gen crystal though
I've made the measurements and everything fits just right and imo can be pressed together.
Another plus is, that nylon gaskets can be glued together using a heat gun to ensure a good bond between them after pressing.
Again this might fail but i'll try it anyway.
