Great thread, could not read all 268 pages though!

Got me interested again in the older 5 digit divers! Are there any particular dealers you guys are getting the BP SD from with the high beat 2813? I am looking for something to tinker with, and I only found the ETA clone versions on a couple of the dealer's sites.

I've tested my bpsd with gen crown and tube for water resistance and it went over 10 bars. The indicator was still at around 0 which means, that the watch hasn't increased much in height.

Now I can go swimming with it :)

Does anybody here have a spare BPSD bezel assembly he would let go ?
I would try one on a modd (not an SD build)

That triangle is a mother fuck3r ! :)) it's either overspill or too thick lume to cover the whole area. This is my 1st lume job ever.

@andrei01
excellent job!

- how did you remove the old lume without removing the markers from the dial first?
I mean, isn't it a risky job in that way? I would scratch the dial all over.
- how did you clean the dial at the end? I can see some finger prints in one of the pics you posted. Not in the last one.
- How's the Bergeon lume? is it white? does it glow strong enough? :p

Enough with questions, thanks!

Thanks @pippo

The 1st thing you want to make sure of is: am i comfortable throwing 500eur out the window ?

Then, if the answer is yes you can move on.

The lume comes out easily with a toothpick. You just work your way around the edge until all the lume is out. The triangle requires you to sharpen the toothpick with an exacto knife in order to clear the tight edges. Extra caution is needed not to scratch the dial. So no dogs, cats, wife around. Just some piano music.

Then, if you're crazy like me, you buff the markers until they shine like new (very hard to do wothout touching the dial).

After the buffing i gave the dial a bath in warm water and brushed it with a very smooth (soft haired) toothbrush using liquid soap. After a rinse, i quicky used a blower to blow the water away from the dial. If you allow it to dry, stains will be visible.

This is getting frustrating.

Hey thanks man !

I still need to figure out the exact composition and amount to mix. I ended up mixing re-lume 3 times and each time i made the lume diffrent in viscosity. So some markers are domed, some are flat and one has a nipple. Also the domed ones, that had the most lume shine the brightest.

Oh and another thing, superluminova c1 by bergeon is not what rolex used for sure. Rolex lume is slightly more blueish and stronger.

Did you use white base coat to enhance the glow?

I'm not really sure i know what that is. I just used the 3 small bottles that come with the set.

It's a little trick to increase the luminosity of lume: you paint of white the base of the markers.

Lume is not from Tritec but looks pretty close to c1. It is white, not too greenish. That's paramount for me
