Is that a 2824? The crown guards look on point.

I bought it like a 2836 but if you read this thread yuo will know that in the lasts 2836 they put a 2824 in it, so yes...2824. I'm pretty satisfied with the crown guards of the watch, not like gen but pretty good.

Is there a "recommended" replacement click spring to replace the factory one?

I ran into the same issue of the hole being too small as others mentioned. I got some .016 wire and it fit in the hole perfectly. I set it up for a tighter resistance and it works perfectly now.

Thank you for this. Of course, ado seems like the best way to go, but I was looking for something more "off-the-shelf". I just ordered the Clark one and will update the thread on how it fits.

That's a great idea. Did you have any trouble bending it to the right angle / lot of trial-and-error?

No, if the wire fits into hole properly, everything else is easy. Here's a good link I posted earlier that helps.

Hi friends, just Bought a bpsd for my Dad, and i was thinking about what add on this fantastic rep for give to the watch a better “feel like gen“??
My dad is not able to spot a rep or a gen watch, so...i ask about a gen clickspring? For give to the bezel a better solidity?

holy sh!t you and all the other modders really take this hobby to some next level. Even Rolex would be impressed if they saw this kinda modding lol
Thanks but to be honest, attempting to redrill the scallops using this dremmel was a joke.

I went ahead and used a mill on an old bezel for more accurate results, but as the mill i'm using is not cnc, you can imagine re-drilling every scallop meas adjusting the rotary table with 6 degreed each time you drill and then stop just at the right depth, is a painstaking procedure :)

Thanks maron, and so, what do you suggest to do? Wait to receive my bpsd and verify if my bezel turn like the gen? Or buy before a click spring?

Hi

I suggest you send it to ado213 and have him install a swiss eta movement, make a custom click spring, and waterproof it. Since it is a gift you want to make sure it will run well for the next few years, so swiss eta. You also want it to be safe for the water.

The gen bezel is broached. Mill marks are a give away sign it's a rep bezel.

Both noob and jf bezeles ( for ceramic subs that is ) are broached and none reflect light the way the gen bezel does.

I'm pretty sure by now that rolex used 2 methods to make their bezels. I've seen some gen 114060 and 116710 with broached bezels but never found a date 6 digit sub with one. On close inspection i could see some horizontal micro scratches like the ones left by a mill.

Not sure about the 16600 bezel yet but judging by the way the light is reflected in the scallops, my guess was that they used a mill.

What do you think Ado about the 6 digit bezels ?
