Maybe it's asked before, but couldn't find it.

I'm deciding between a TC 16610 or BP SD 16600.
As the TC will accept all gen parts, does the BPSD aswell?

The BP SD can be modded to accept gen parts but doesn't come that way. Adrian can mod it to accept gen bezel and crystal.

That's what we are discussing at the moment but we know for sure at least two members gave used a 3135.

The case also has to be tapped for a gen crown and tube

Ok, reason for asking is that I'm looking at which one (tc or bp) is the easiest base to work with for either mark 1 16610 or 16600

Rudy and I both had 3135. Mike did the install for me and said that the BP cases were hit or miss. Some accept it (older ones) and some don't? But they were coming with 2824 for a while which is same stem height as 3135.

So this is only for v3? Because I installed TC v2 hands on stock BP movement no issues.

BP unlike what has been said in this topic, always it uses in 2824 for more than four years but with different movement and differend hands set wheels.

Since last year, the BP began using the new Seagull "nickel" plated and most of the time with incabloc that are different from the old 2824 "gold" plated with novidiac and rotor with this words: "1940 Rolex S.A.", that BP inserted in his SD and in his other reps until 2015

Personally i remember a dude that put genuine rolex caliber in it's SD, and he put his watch on salere here, but unfortunally i don't remember who is

@Thrasher woooww thats expensive af! I will wait for the sh3135 with DW and genspec hands from the JF16610 or just leave the swiss eta and only upgrade to V3 hands... bout 350 $ for a set of hands is crazy

Thats Gold Brother as mine came with a 2824 then we put in a 2836, Adrian can just machine a new insides for it, I think he has to do it anyway because the WSO crystal gasket and Genuine crystal gasket are different and now I'm going Genuine crystal.

You can get the hands for less when they are available right now there is a long line.

The shit BP puts inside there watches has always been mysterious at best, The only thing you can do is buy one and go from there!

- tc dial and hands v3 relumed;
- tc tube gen crown;
- tc datewheel
- gen insert;
- Adrian put in 2836;
- gen xtal;
- tc bracelet 93250 polished and brushed also the case.

Adrian did the crystal mod (with wso crystak) put in the eta 2836 and changed the tc parts.
Zocker did the relume, changed wso crystal with gen, and polished and brushed bracelet and case.

First i had a tc crown but it snapped so try to get a gen crown much better!

How does the standard crown compare to gen in terms of looks? Is it acceptable or an easy call for someone in the know?

Can't say never really compared gen with bp. Can say I had tc next to gen and I had to look pretty good to see which one was the gen. But tc crown sucks.

Ok!

Thinking of getting a BP and change the insert for Gen, get a TC v3 handset and bracelet.

Eventually want to convert it to a mk1 with tritium dial, but will hold off for now as the development of the jf 3135 continues.

So do not want to mod it to much, just the essential parts.
