BP Seadweller.. Best SD available Period

It's crap but it's all we gotSo the consensus is after the 328 pages is that the BP SD is still the best base ?

is that in response to my question? if so, I'm not being clear. i'll take some pictures tomorrow. On my tc sd bracelet some of the links have a middle that slide up and down and some of them are fixed. they are all hollow

i think it depends on how tight the sides are pressed together , the tighter ones wont slide
So is that just a qc thing with the rep bracelet? Would the gen bracelet links all be "slidey"?
It really doesn't matter, the bracelet is fine, I'm just curious if it has a purpose I'm not aware of

I am wanting to purchase a TC V7 extreme. Might as well place an order for some parts for the BP SD I have coming in a few days. I was planning on going with dial and handset. Is there anything else I should order? What is the typical cost to have these added by a trusted modder?

You'll definitely want a tc bracelet. Make sure to get the v3 ln hands. If you are changing the crown and tube you'll need either gen or tc.
Keep in mind you probably won't be able to use the tc hands on the bp a2824 without modification or changing the movement entirely.
Cost depends on what you end up doing.

Having found a original TTK Noobmariner in the back of my drawer from around 2006, I'm looking at the current offerings again. I collect vintage watches, but can't justify paying top dollar for a Rolex, with all those frankens, fakes etc floating around
I've read that the BP seadweller is one of the better offerings currently available and with some small mods it's acceptable for me to wear as a daily beater (and keeping the vintage watches in the save).
So far the mods I'm thinking of;
- BP Seadweller as base
- TC hands
- Gen Insert
- TC dial
- WMO crystal
Any other recommendations?

I'd go ahead and add a wso tube and gen crown while you're at it. Anyone have input on the bp vs TC dial? The general consensus seems to be the bp dial is pretty good. Also anyone have input on the old octopus dial? I know Dave did a build with it.

I plan use a leather strap but would the bracelet that comes on the TC LV 7 extreme sub also work on the BP SD?
Yes it will. That is what a lot of us are using instead of his SD bracelet. Better sel fit.
