I agree with you but I have to say that the samples angus posted and the fact that the explorer and the oyster perpetual from JF are superp makes me believe that the sub will be decent to. Of course it won't beat our modded SD's or TC subs but my point is that their watches can be great donors to make our frankens and TCs even better at lower costs. I guess zou have already seen the bracelet and the sample from Angus. If the movement, hands and bracelet fits the BPSD, I would spend the 350 $ any day to get the parts.

Sincw the rep game is all about patience, we can wait til the end of the month, no? :) I think JF will bring many improvements to our rollies.

I agree that the OP and explorer do look great. I want the jf v2 explorer 214270

What is the diameter of the tc dial?

I'm in contact with someone who might do a mk1 refinish on eta dials.

The diameter of the Gen dial is 27.4mm is what I know, just need the right size for a eta 2836/24 dial that fits in the BP SD.

Shout out to @ado213 for building this for me. What a great guy, we are so lucky to have him. He took care of every last detail. Maybe he can chime in but I'm pretty sure he refinished the inside of the sel that had a rough finish. I didn't ask him to do that and honestly nobody would EVER see it

Yup, absolutely he did. This was how the finish was inside the sel on the left side.

Swiss 2836 coupled with a gen crown. It winds so smooth and the time setting is perfect. Keeping within a couple of seconds per day

When I look at yours I just want that capped CP asap! Can't decide wether to go 3135 or only get the TC V3 hands....

Thanks maron, I thought about it again.
Well, correct time setting and quit autowind would be great but does the upgrade really justify the 600-700 bucks?
I think I should stay with my eta and get the V3 hands, waterproofing and thats it..

Because with that extra $700 you could go gen bezel or gen crystal, ya know
