Have any forum members had the gen crystal modded in? Someone in a previous mentioned Adrian had done this before, wondering what your take was on the gen. vs the stock BP crystal? Worth the effort?

Thanks...

Yep Adrian did it for me and by having the crystal at the right height it makes the dial look bigger and the crystal edge has a better finish.

Haha when that unnamed member finishes his house, I have a Franken explorer polar that's itching to come home. It will be worth the wait though. This guy is awesome

He has one of my EXP 2 polars and it just needs a new crown and movement, But I don't want any drywall dust in it so I can wait.

Plus There is always a watch I can buy while I wait, I was even thinking of getting another BP SD just because.

I'm afraid you have 2 watches mixed up bro. BP is the classic Sea dweller. Noob v2 is a ceramic SDC. Which one you like better? The classic can be modded with lots of gen parts. The ceramic has no available gen parts. This whole thread is about the classic

I would build a BP Sea Dweller using a BP case, NEW Swiss ETA movement from Otto frei, Genuine insert, Genuine crown and WSO tube, TC hands and Dial, TC Bracelet, TC Date Wheel Overlay (DWO) V4, I would send the case to @ado213 in England and have him cut the case for a genuine specification crystal and have him install the crystal. https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/184087-BP-SD-with-generic-Xtal, I would have @Tagfan1 shape the case and install everything doing the final assembly.... But thats just me.

Need to check with experts here. Does the Clarks bezel insert 14060-81 Black/silver fit the BPSD? Tia.

The stock BP insert is as good as any replacement, the only thing better is genuine, but If you want to practice installation that makes very good sense.

The insert that came with my BP is loose when I cleanup the glue under it.

thank you guys for ur concern and advice.

to be honest with u i prefer to get the Noob version as i find it more sharp and sporty.

as for the Gen parts i think i have to wait for other version to start with the Modd. dont you agree or u think its not and it will not be like a submariner or an BPSD

Get the latest Noob Seadweller 4000 (correct hands, silver paint) with Asian clone movement and You will be very happy.

BP Seadweller: The secret "supermod" nobody is talking about:) It´s not about looks, it´s about "comfort".
Do You feel the bracelet is either too tight or too loose on the classic SD or the TC but just never right?
Just fix it swapping over a glide-lock clasp.

Simple, fast, suited for absolute Beginners, do-it Yourself with the help of just a screwdriver, reasonably cheap and efficient;
What You need: another BP or Noob Submariner or Seadweller with a glidelock-clasp;

0. put the 2 watches with the bracelets side by side in the same position
1. on the stock BP -Seadweller bracelet or the TC loosen 1 screw of the last visible link on each side of the clasp,
2. do the same to the other bracelet
3. swap over the clasp
4. tighten the screws on both sides
5. try it out and enjoy:)

If You want to buy just the branded aftermarket clasp ask the TD. For getting it on ebay carefully check this sellers webstore for a glidelock
Sub-C-type: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-18mm-New...acelet-Deployment-Clasp-For-ROL-/311227255985 (this seems NOT to be a glide-lock). Please verify/check the size and other offerings but an 18mm/9mm clasp should be fine for the standard sub with 20mm lug-attachment.
edit: "Hi, well noted, first I had posted another which was not the right size. Best is to get one from TDs as we know what we are getting, even trying to be careful on ebay/alibaba things may slip. The DSSD one at least seems to work as it´s supposed to as alternative but pls re-check or contact the seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/9mm-New-Silv...tfrom=30858019 Somewhere there should be a glidelock as well. "

This is how it looks, here on the TC-bracelet, but it´s the same on the stock SD-bracelet. Comfortable and the size is micro-adjustable in the morning/evening, hot/cold according to gusto: the classic Submariner/Seadweller with modern comfort benefits:)

Thanks, the one in the picture is from my BP-Sub-C that I have put on a NATO this Summer. As it was around, I just tried it out.
The result exceeded my expectations, so I am keeping it there on the TC rouge.
The ebay-seller was recommended for other items and I have him as backup if I need another clasp in a hurry. Sooner or later I will be getting a DSSD-type clasp from there to try out on my Seadweller as well.
