After rep, who went ahead and got a gen?

Had a tag cheapie for years and thought I lost it so came to research. Two months later I have 6 Panerai reps and just bought my first gen yesterday. Will probably try to buy a higher end version as investment over the next year or two. Still buying reps but will jump on a good gen deal if I find one

Bought first canal street junk pam for about 10 years ago... wore it daily then upgraded to a first gen pam in 2006. That was one of the most satisfying days of my life. Also have had a couple of cheap 16610s for a long time and finally decided acquire gen 116610 (a very good deal). I can honestly say that gen Rolex doesn't do much for me but my PAM makes me smile every time I put it on my wrist.

Me? I had a gen SMP for 8 years - started collecting reps for variety and accumulated 5-6 as the addiction/illness kicked in. Then sold the SMP, but felt slightly empty not owning at least one gen so bought a 3873.50 for my wedding.

I then realised that I was wearing (and enjoying) my reps more than the sapphire sandwich and simply couldn't justify owning a £1800 memento so I swapped it for a PO 2500C. Whilst I was having the PO refurbed (see my WUS thread) I felt the compulsion to bag another Speedy; this time a birth year 145.022. So here I am now considering whether I need all these watches...?!

Despite of all watches, i think i can happy with so called super rep.
But i already told this to my mom,
i must work hard and work smart, so one day i will truly buy and drive
a real genuine 458italia using my own earning
*hope this not too much:facepalm:

Anyway, i got my daily beater pam112N.
and i could find any particular reason to buy gen 112
imho its kinda stupid and i better invest the money somewhere more valuable

I love reps, but I want a real genuine piece one day. I never thought I'd care, but after wearing reps you just have that feeling that it isnt real. Its fun to pretend, but much more fun to live the real experience. It will be a blue 16613 for me...
