its common, the connecting link between clasp and the link itself is a tad too short, sometimes filing the bottom of the "two teeth" on the clasp itself helps the link pivot

Have you tried that out?

I would not give you advice that I have not tried ...... your results may vary since you were not able to determine the issue and may not know exactly what or how much it needs to be done but yes that remedies the issue to a large extent

Hi there to all of you... I have a question. I want to buy a genuine diver extension for my sea dweller. Could it be installed on the TC 93160 clasp? Have anyone tried?

ok, back to the CG topic. what is everyone's thoughts on reworking them?

Gen#1:

Gen#2:

UBPFC's:

turbo350z (earlier post):

now, it's hard to tell exactly, and maybe my eye's are playing tricks on me...because different angles give you a different perspective.

i think the BPSD's have the guards angled too steep in towards the case. they need a little shave to be more "square" toward the case like the gen and ubpfc's example.

thoughts?

Agreed. Both the SSD and the BPSD need just a touch of shaving down in the corners.

Here's an "after shot" of my SSD and BPSD. I'm not even sure which is which any more. I think the one on the left is the BP.

Did anyone ever consider there might be another element that's different that goes with a particular CG shape, I'm talking genuines now. So if GEN 1 CGs look this way is there something else different that we aren't seeing? For example and I'm just making this up but bezel shape is fractionally different or a part of the font on the dial is just a certain way. it would be nice to have examples of genuines we know are un touched from different years or different production runs.

After a few polishings they do have a tendency to develop their own shapes based on the amount of over polishing.

Good morning to all of you out there. Want to install a gen crown. What size is the appropriate? 7mm? Can I use the same stem? The crown normally is screwed in to the stem, am I right? Do I need to change the tube also?

Great info, thanks Thrasher:) One more doubt on this: Is the WSO tube normally a direct fit on the BP or does the caseset have to be drilled, holes countersunk etc.?

You won't need a WSO tube, the replica tube and stem will fit a 703/704 crown :)

:) so it´s a question of just trying out first and to be prepared to do it if needed;
