Hi fellas,


Off the bat, Im not looking for hand outs or freebies just need somewhere to vent and maybe get some support... you know, I need to hear "its gonna be okay" type shit.



I recently sold off my whole collection for a 6538 build and some gen parts for my beloved 1680.

well, selling off my collection left me with only my 1680. I then purchased a Hublot Fusion for my dad, he didn't like it so I posted a sales thread to get rid off it. Rudy ended up liking it and he didn't have a watch at all @ this time so I said... Hell, here you go pal... you can have this one.


Yesterday my 1680 took a dump.... dead. So its off to DAZ for a movement swap and relume. My 6538 is going to take another 2-3 weeks before its finished and makes it journey across the pond. Being that I gifted and promised to send Rudy the Hublot.... I AM LEFT WITHOUT A WATCH!!!!

Guys, to some of you this might not be a big deal but I don't ever remember a time even as a kid when I was without a watch!



I don't know what to do since I just spent $750+ on the 6538, $500 in parts for my 1680 and now an additional $300 for movement, swap, and relume.


This damn fack up has got me short on watch money and stumped as to what the hell to do.



So, any suggestions... like, jump off a bride are welcome.

If your like me then you feel naked without a watch on. Grab a 21J cheapo that will at least keep you 'clothed' till your watches arrive back to you.

There are constantly 21J subs up for grabs in M2M section for <$100

and i think silix has some decent low priced economy watches that will at least hold you over and then you can sell/donate it here in m2m

Browse eB for a cheap used Gen. Plenty of Seiko, Citizens for less than $100. Thats what I look at when Im bored... I just dont have the money for even a cheap something like that.

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as strodda... all outta watch money.

I'm thinking ill just wait it out because I do have some bad ass pieces coming my way.


I mainly just wanted to vent... you know when no one in "real" life gives a fack about your watches but only a bunch of awesome blokes on a awesome fora.... who you're true pals are !

I know about that, its when you print your own label and the postman picks up the package from your house. So you either have to sit and wait all day for him to pick it up or you leave it on the porch for the local crackhead to grab, no thanks.
