Hmm, so they're shipping the old click out now ?, the long click started off in the early production models of this and was then superseded by a much shorter click. Perhaps it is from the newer batch but with the old style click in it, who knows !!

it's strange how some people are reporting the Clark is good and some say it's poor. One thing I can definitely state is that the bezel "fit" size on the running ring varies from watch to watch, it seems a pretty open tolerance.

this could be the root the problem here ?.

Just got the watch today and immediately changed it to the Clark bezel click spring. Now it's stiff and very gen like in my opinion with zero play. It's a must-do mod. The long piece of metal is the BP click spring that came with the watch.

Got it from here:

6.5" wrist, soon to be franken : )

When did you buy your watch? I just checked my click spring, and it is much shorter. Nevertheless I placed an order for 2 Clarks springs as I have slight "play".

Well i finally got the TC dial and hands installed and got it back together. Then i noticed the DWO not aligning properly with the window. There musta been a slight difference on the datewindow placement betweent the BP dial and the TC dial.

Looks like it will have to go under the knife one more time,

But overall im very pleased.

The pearl was slightly off center on my BPSD, and TD was kind enough to send me a new insert. At the same time, I decided to buy a gen insert.

As luck would have it, the replacement BP insert arrived on the same day as the gen insert. They are so similar that part of me regrets spending the $200 on the gen insert!

Here they are, gen insert on the left:

On the wrist, any small differences seen above are sure to disappear to all but the most discerning eyes:

Hey all,
The black paint "R" in Rolex, and the "O" and "R" in Oyster on my caseback has come off (or is coming off in the case of one of the Rs). Does anyone have any suggestions on the best method to restore the color, and with what kind of paint/ink/etc?

Attached is a pic of it.

I am soon going to send off my BPSD and various parts to my watchmaker for assembly. I was thinking of having him replace the Asian 2836 clone with a Swiss movement.

If I order a new movement from this Ofrei page, which is the best to get: ETA 2824-2 Nickel Plated, Sellita SW200 Gold Plated (Swiss Made Clone of 2824-2), or Sellita SW220-1 (Swiss Made Clone of ETA 2836-2)? They all cost about the same price.

You won't have any probs taking the SW220. 2824 and SW200 have got different stem height and you won't be able to line up crown and stem properly. Difference is about 0,45mm.
But Asian 2836 is reliable, too. Why don't you go with it until it gives up?

My Asian 2836 doesn't seem to run correctly after winding, so I'm trying to decide between having it serviced and having it replaced.

After reading through this thread, It has come to my attention that I need one of these.

I kno BP is the way to go so I'm prob gonna hit up Ryan. Good call?

Also, anyone have any experience with the classic SDs being sold on kuvarsit? I know they're not a TD here but it they have a SD with lug holes.. Was kinda curious about those. Could potentially make a nice 16660
