Is there a groove? You could make one. Maybe it wasn't assembled correctly. I have made them using thicker wire than what they originally came with to tighten them up.

Gauge 6 wire should work. I used it to make a Submariner bezel spring for my Ginault (don’t ask why, let’s just say I don’t have a magnet to recover small flying metal parts that land on a carpeted floor).

Use some pliers to get the bending correctly and you should be fine. Not sure about the length of the whole wire or every section of the octagon, though, and I’m away so I haven’t got tools to get mine out and measure it, sorry. Either way, wire comes in a full big coil so you can try with different lengths. The more straight the edges of the octagon the more loose the bezel will be. I think it’s a matter of trial and error. Good luck!

Yeh that's how it works with vostoks. I will grab one of my dead ones and try it. I have tens if not hundreds of them ...

Nice one. Maybe you can reuse one of their springs as a spare, yep. Please get some photos done, it always helps!

And if I may add: less than $250. I mean, really. This watch should be in every single Rolex collector in this forum.

I was sooo close to ordering one of these, but with the thick caseback I just couldn't do it. If they ever release one with a thinner case back, I'll pull the trigger in a second!

So here is my 1675 with the missing wire so the bezel was spinning around freely without any resistance

Turns out to have the same "mechanism" as my (many) Vostoks so I got the wire out of one of my dead one's bezels

cannibalized one and put the wire in the Rolie rep. Oh where to put it ....

I don't understand how this bezel mechanism and spring works but it does work now, bezel action is quite stiff now actually. So here it is on the wrist. With my other birthday gift to myself, a pair of Tricker's English country boots! Hey it snows here in Eastern PA OK! And dash it I need a pair!

Neat watch with a - for the 1675 - correct CHS LOL! I would love to handle a gen, and compare it with thisone. The jubilee strap is a bit better than the ones that come with cheap Komandirskies and Amphibians from Vostok but does jingle like the gen is supposed to do I guess. it is a wee bit loose with the clasp at maximum closure setting for my 7 1/8" wrist. I could remove a link or two but am afraid I might end up in trouble as these are little screws and not tap out pins. The tread is probably not the most reliable.
But it is a fun little watch and can't complain for $188 from Nemboscorner.

I guess this one has the thick caseback, it does not bother me on the wrist I have to say

Not gonna lie, that's pretty badass. I twitch violently every time I see SEL gaps, no matter how tiny, even on my gens. NATO is definitely growing as a fashion trend as well. Amazing look mate!

Old watches will always have sel gaps though. That’s part of the older feel.

My DG3804 LN arrived just before Christmas, managed to get round to sizing it to wear today. I like it.

Jesus Christ! Don’t post that pic at the ARF vs VRF thread or lots of people will start cancelling their orders, lol. Unbelievable that this is half price of these other two big fellas.

@ffuhcuffuhcu : How noisy is the DG3804 in that case?

I’ve only been wearing it a day but I think I’m going to be ok with it. Assuming it keeps ticking my main concern was going to be noise.

I could hear a bit more rotor noise moving my arm swiftly as a test as I first sized it. I didn’t get a super fast spin going like my A7750s.

I didn’t hear the watch at all yesterday but that was spent with family with kids playing and music on in a fairly noisy house.
