Nice. But €285 is not far from $348 for a complete 5001/5007 rep.

Hi guys, I am relatively new with rep watch. Currently interested with IWC 7 Days model after saw it got the highest votes for best rep in 2015.

Btw, in my place got local dealer that having the watch (ready stock) and he send me some pics as per link below. Sorry i do not know how to insert pics here.

Thanks thermalboyz for your helpful reply. I did not bought the watch from that dealer. Also considering the price is little bit higher than our TDs here.

Anyway, after I posted here, one RWI member who stay nearby contacted me and offering me to take a look of his IWC 7 Days ZF V1 watch.

Oh man, I was really impressed with the quality and the finishing. It is far better from my previous rep watches (here they call AAA). From my amateur eyes no one can tell it is rep. And the watch size perfectly sitting on my small wrist (<6 inchs - too skinny).

And that guy offering his watch for $200 only but come with no warranty since his has owning that watch quite long but under utilize.

Because I am to aroused and tempted with the quality and the price his offered. My mind cannot think properly and thoroughly during checking the watch. I just agreed and grabbed the watch immediately.

Here is the pic of the watch:

After went back and wore a few times than I realized the number 1 & 10 hour pretty crock. But I don't think people will notice with first glance - hopefully.

Anyway, I am happy with my purchased. Looking forward to get from TDs the latest version of this model.

Hello together,

first of all a big thanks for that great comparison! After I read a lot in the IWC Forum I think my second rep will be a IW5007 V3 from ZF (first one has been a PAM292).

http://www.intime.co/iwc/2723-portu...st-edition-on-brown-leather-strap-a52010.html

The only thing which scares me is that I know nobody near my place (Munich, Germany) who could service such replicas or take care of the rotor noise... and many pro´s here in the forum says that the first should be after you purchase a ZF IWC to service it.

Now my question :D Will the noisy rotor effect the health of the watch after some time or is it just annoying because you hear it when the watch is near to your ear? I would be very thankfull for some advice.
The second question is: Where I can get such a great leather strap for that watch, Santoni looks amazing but the costs on Ebay are around 500 US :-(

However, thanks for reading and advices.

Greetings and a great weekend to all of you!
Nico

I have 2 of this model and neither is noisy. There is a fix for noisy rotor (see the last bit on opening post of this thread).

chris3007 is a member here and can service this watch for you (and he's in Munich too!). Here's his thread about this movement breakdown:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb...e-the-clone-A52010-movement-a-full-break-down

I have ordered a strap from Jacob who makes excellent straps and there are other makers too - Orloff for example. The straps on these watches were made by StrapViet (handmade alligator) and cost just $35 delivered.

Very nice watches from you! Hopefully I will get also one without noisy rotor. I saw the modifications in the beginning, but I have no silicon oil and also Im not confident in making that :D
The straps looks also very nice, I will try to find some from StrapViet too. Can you please tell me something about the gold plating quality? Will it rub off quickly if I wear it often? To be honest its the only reason why I would take the ss one.
Thanks for your help!

The gold plating on reps these days is a lot better than years ago and should be very durable. I've never had a rep with gold plating that has rubbed off, but I have many reps and they all get "rotated". I think it will depend on how rough you are with it. Always best to wipe it with a soft cloth after use and never use any chemicals to clean it. The Rose Gold plated takes the watches to another level in my opinion - but it's all a matter of personal taste and preference.

Haha, now I can´t decide anymore which watch I want :) Just checked the hp from StrapViet, he has 2 different custom made options for alligator straps. Can I use on that straps also the rep deployment buckle? Is it enough when I tell him for which watch I need the strap or do he need dimensions?
Sorry for that stupid questions.

If you're ordering a strap for the 5007, just email StrapViet and tell him it's the same as he made for zafod999 (and tell him what colour strap and stitch you want)

I'm very interested in this IWC. Just wanted to ask if people still are having problems with crooked numbers on the dial?

I'm sure this has been asked alot, but which side should the short part of the strap fit?
the 12 or the 6?

I'm seeing pictures of both...

Really like that colour combo watch/strap. Looks amazing and like a 10 grand watch.
