Yeah i dont have any tools and i wouldn't want to make things any worse given my lack of knowledge.
Is it something that can be fixed with a service? My plan on getting this watch was to get it services by a local watch maker but given current cirumstance with coronavirus that will be tricky.
Annoyingly but rightly so all the watch repair shops are closed, so i’m going to have to wait this out.
Been listening to this one some more and there is some times a rattle when i shake it, it’s by no means silent and i believe (just going from the different sounds) there is at least two loose /free parts in there.
I’m going to email the seller it, it was alot of money for me (and yes i know a rep is a rep is not a gen) so its a shame the movement has arrived damaged/faulty and hopefully we can sort something out. Anyone else found themselves in this situation? Any tips on approaching this/outcomes etc?
I cant pretend to have any knowledge in this area but when googling the scraping sound the result i was getting back we’re all around the rotor.
It would be great to hear from other people with the ARF and SH3186 to see if this is a common problem or not.
Im UK based too bootlegboy who did you end up sending to? Im thinking of ringing round leeds shops and hoping to find someone local, would rather go to a known reliable rep friendly smith though.

Anyone know if the ARF bracelet will fit gen 116710 case?

I think the chances are pretty good. I put an ARF oyster on my gen 16710, it fit like a glove. This was before the ARF GMT bracelet was out.
Rolex has done some weird stuff recently with springbar diameters and tip sizes, I think at least partly to made it harder to swap between oyster and jubilee on the 126710s. Interesting info here
