Agree on the ARF as great base and the mods you've done have taken it to the next level, well done bro. How did the gen insert go in, before the bezel was pressed on or after? Thanks.

i fitted the insert last to make sure it lined up perfectly. It snapped in nicely with a perfect fit into the arf bezel.

25-295 car I think. Don’t get the 25-295 c12 as that’s for the subc and has a different profile. Yes the cyclops is ar Coated.

BTW, does the 116710LN used the same crystal retention system(CRS) as per the Sub? Why I am asking is that the traditional crystal pressing tools are not working for the modern SD's as they have a completely new CRS. Rolex has a special tool which vacuum sucks the SD crystal onto the press for alignment and pressing.

It does in the respect of having a retaining ring that pressure fits over the crystal gasket and the bezel snapping on with a thin hytrel ring.

PT and some other TDs do not differentiate between VR and SA when listing movement types for GMTs. Technically the VR3185 is a Superclone and it's Asian so calling it an SA is not inaccurate, just not as specific as we like it here.

Look at the movement pics on the websites to ID the movements. The VR is easy to identify. It's the only 3185/6 with a blue hairspring and the upgraded gold balance staff shock absorber. Also the SA has the balance arms reversed from the VR, an easy tell.

I am looking to swap crystal on the VRF LN and despite being a 116710LN, the 126710 is inscribed between the lugs. Just want to make sure I get the correct crystal.

I'm going to check out the vrf thread but just wondering if anyone has come across this yet.

For reps, people have put the standard 25-295-car-c1 gen GMT crystal on all manner of factories and models including 5 digit models. Also including the Noob 126710 Pepsi. So I would buy that gen crystal with confidence for any (gen-spec crystal) GMT rep, which would include the VRF 116710 LN.

I figured they were the same as I haven't seen any indication of a different part number but I also noticed that the sales threads on every forum list the model number in a thread as a 116xxx so I just wanted to be cautious.

When I typed 116xxx I meant 1167xx. That’s my bad. I know the gmt and subs have different crystals. I just wanted to make sure the 116710 and 126710 took the same one. Thank you.

Forgive the crappy photo but i recieved my ARF from jtime today and im very happy! Its a beautiful watch out of the box!

I have a question though for other people with this watch, when i shake it near my ear, i hear something inside the movement that sounds like its skating/scraping? It doesn't seem loose, and to my untrained ear it doesn't feel completely free that is, it's not rattling when i shake it. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Was it knocked in transit?

Sounds possibly like the rotor is catching. These are usually pretty silent when shaken.

Thats a worry botsyboy what implications would this have on the watch movment/lifepsan etc? Is it something i should get back to jtime with, after GL'ing they did tell me to shake and check it once posted? What are the usual options from here?
