I was thinking of ordering the same watch just to get one on my wrist now and I love the ARF bracelet/quality.

I'm sure the experts will chime in with who/what parts/cost to fix it.

I ordered a rep 216570 polar ICHS because I didn't want to have to worry. TD sent me a CHS by mistake and it broke day one too. These GMTs are like paying Russian roulette.

The problem is that this is the clone 3186. Not the time bomb A2824 CHS. Ah it sucks that this happened to mine. Now it’s more time off my wrist lol. I waited nearly two months for this watch and I receive it in this state.

Really sorry for you mate, it is very disappointing when you have payed and waited so long for a watch you desire and it immediately breaks at day one. Your TD Should really send you a new one. Don't wait too much before informing him about the useless piece he sent to you..

I dont think it’d be fair to expect the TD to send a replacement, the jumping hour click spring is a known fragility with the SH3186 movement that comes with the ARF (which im assuming is there issue) and i dont think that can be seen as a fault of the TD.

bootlegboy i’ll be looking to swap in a VR3185 too so we’re in the same boat there

its close. the profile is really close, best rep bezel so far, but the insert diameter is slightly off and the rest of the bezel can't be swapped with gen parts.

The ARF bezel will take a gen insert

it's a common mod request for me, but you will have to use some form of adhesive if you want it to be secure. it is not as tight as gen in gen bezel.

That's probably a good thing, less risk of cracking it going in. I actually prefer using 3M double-sided tape vs pressure fit for ease of installation and removal.

It’s a real shame tho sigh I actually had high hopes for the ARF albeit the general finish of the watch is much better than the VRF. I’m trying to keep the cost down so I might avoid the VR3185 swap for the moment. But we’ll see how it goes.

How much did you get your VR3185 for?

All 6 digit Rolex GMTs and Subs have the larger markers. That is regular for those models.

TD job is also to be sure your watch works properly before shipping. If your watch breaks at day one he did not do his job well. Just my point of course.

It snap fitted perfectly on my watch buddy and I have fitted several gen inserts so I know how it should fit!

Thanks for the links KJ2020 the persistence in calling it an SA3186 is only going to confuse matters, especially now the GFM movement is called the same if i'm correct?

New to this forum, but not new to the rep world. Just got my QA photos from PT for my 5-15 ARF purchase and wanted to share. I'm pleased, I'll update as I see how this post corona shipping works out. PT has done right by me replacing two watches seized by customs btw.
