I've just had a better look at the most recent ARF 16610, the model they've released right now with it's case having rehaut engravings. Included a pic from Trusty's site below. You might struggle to see the rehaut engraved for my poor quality pic but my reason for posting... The datewheel looks different to SH3135 datewheels. It's number '3's kind of remind me of a number 3 the Rolex 3035 datewheel lol. (@iang27 you are miles ahead of me, I only just noticed a datewheel change!). I wish the datewheel being a quirky boy was for a brand new movement type for us, but think it's still being documented as SH3135. SOL haha.

It’s actually good news that they improved it a little bit. Doesn’t matter much to me as I prefer the no rehaut version and I’m putting a hollow end links bracelet on it. I think the real upgrade ARF should work into is to use VR3135s in their Subs instead of the old and unreliable SH3135 and their crappy reverse winding wheels.
Who can confirm that the 2.Batch has a VR3135 installed? Never heard of it?

It doesn’t. What I said in my post is that ARF should work on getting rid of their SH3135 and start getting a steady supply of VR3135.

They want to rep shit load of Rolex models including classic stuff.

Is XF confirmed rumor that they will focus on old reps? If so, this is our best chance to have something at the level or TC again. Boy, I hope so!

It seems that the new ARF cases with the engraved rehaut all have a terrible SEL recess on the bottom right side, LN and LV too. It's a really annoying batch issue, which will hopefully be corrected.
Not sure if it's the case or the end link, however.

Here are a few pics of the 3.5mm gasket that I believe was being discussed in this thread. Long story short in my case the 3.5mm gasket makes the date picture look better but the crystal height is not good.
ARF LV case / bracelet polish, gen insert, 3.5mm gasket (Stock ARF gasket was 3.0mm)

The original 16610 has a 2.8mm gasket, which would go well with a genuine crystal. Clarks crystals (a good alternative) are slightly different, but would still work. Personally I really like how it looks with the 3mm gasket as I like to see a bit of the sides of the crystal, like on the 16600 Seadweller, but each to their own!

Here is my Franken Kermit project so far:
That looks gorgeous. Lovely build, bravo!

I don't think I'll ever pluck up the courage to pop the blister pack and actually use my gen LV insert. It'll stay blistered until I die, and then get sold by my heirs on eBay for £25 because they don't realise it's genuine and is worth around £250,000 (estimated inflation of Rolex prices based on me optimistically expecting to last another 30 years).

That do look absolutely amazing :)

Would you min sharing the ref number for the gen crystal. And do you feel it was a huge upgrade compared to the stock ARF?

B29-295-2.

Gen crystals are always better than stock - particularly on a 5-digit with a cyclops. The rep factories just can't replicate the look of a gen crystal. Whether it counts as a "huge" upgrade or not depends on how fussy you are and whether you feel it's worth the money. I don't think I'm particularly fussy, but for me it's always a nice upgrade, and seems worth the money (normally around £100-150).

Oh I thought they where priced similar to a 6 digit crystal (I always change those due to the black hole effect lacking in rep)

thanks for the feedback, better find myself a gen crystal then :)
