Has it? I’ve only seen the OMF 7750 chunkers before 😮
Going from 15mm til 11mm is a big win in my book, regardless of what's inside 😄
I swear the 7750 chunker has to be banned or something. Too much grief and false hopes over this. Its time is up! It’s like we memorized this movement because of how bad it is.

The watch pictured isn’t gen.
I think the point here is the production of the clone 2385 (FP 1185)caliber. Honestly it’s nothing too exciting for me, this spec has been around for a while. The difference is that they have perhaps cloned the 2385 cal and as price the price of the 26331 builds are going to be a lot less now.
@legend sorry for my question but does that mean that we are expecting the clone of the fp1185 with this movement from APW, and if it really is a clone fp1185 does it mean we can use it for a cnc 38mm ap ro chrono? Thank you in advance for the answer legend much appreciated

If the pictures we are seeing are real then it’s unlikely to be a 1185 clone IMO

Eagle eyes! That’s exactly right.

Think this opens up an opportunity for using the case, bracelet etc and finding an 1185. Praying they have the same stem height

Nice effort, but still a let down. Guessing these were gens then with correct spacing?

The axis of the 3 and 9 subdials is higher than the center axis.

This is gen

I’ll still buy one, though lol
I will definitely get one, the question for me is if the 4801 will be able to fit a 38mm because I am thinking of cnc case for the 38mm

It should. I am just waiting for the 38mm release. It’s still a buy but not an “instant” buy because they haven’t cloned the 1185. Only minor differences in spacing between sub dials.

So let me get this straight. They basically stuck a Daytona movement with a datewheel in an AP?

Beats a 7750!
I don’t know if I should be happy, sad or amazed. Daytona chronograph is the best there is. It’s like if you wanted to build the best AP Chronograph and so you have this! Only in the rep world does cutting corners gives you a superior product.

Do you know if it will fit the 38mm chrono ?

Well and the date complication actually works.

You could say that via this modded SL-4801, Dandong has made a improvement to the 4130 design with the date complication which is something that Rolex has either neglected or declined to do in all these decades of Daytona history.

Daytona movement with working date. This is a groundbreaking development.
