I stopped wearing the gen 15500s. I now wear the gen 15510s when I want to put on a Royal Oak.
Also gen 15510’s. Well done. They are just a little bit more elegant due to it’s bracelet mostly. Well enjoy!

Where I need to be.
I assume there are still no News for a proper zf/apsf 15510?
The main issues for the current rep 15510s are

- wrong second hand. The 15510 has a different second hand
- different bracelet thickness. Taper is the same as the 15500 though.
- dials are not well made. The Audemars Piguet logo and plate are off. The blue and grey dials of the gen also have visually different color tones from the gen 15500s.

Having said that I do not think it’s a big deal from them to make a proper 15510, if they have made the 15500s.

ZFv3. Doesn’t run well though. So it will get a service and as a bonus: white gold plated screws. Can’t want.
I have mentioned this many times.
AP used white gold screws for early batches of some ROOs, ROs, and up till about early 2018 for 15400s.
The later batches of ROOs and ROs, even gold models, use stainless steel bezel screws. This includes the 15500.
So yes while you can choose to plate your bezel screws in any color, it is a matter of preference and not accuracy.
My gen 15500s and 15510s all come with stainless steel bezel screws and I also took time to confirm this fact with the boutique.
You will not find a gen 15500 with white gold bezel screws. AP no longer uses white gold for bezel screws but who knows the trend may return and your watch will be ahead in that regard.

Just do a high polish on the stock bezel screws if you’re after the “brand new gen”look. And trust me on the gens the screws can dull rather quickly depending on the climate conditions. It’s very high humidity where I am so they grey pretty fast lol

Has anyone had success silencing the rotor on the clone movement? Mine is quite noisy on the wrist.

Hi guys,

Seems that APSF updated the 15500 white dial version. Does anyone know if they also updated the black dial version?

I’m no expert, but it should be an easy fix for a skilled watchsmith.

I just got my QC pics as well. Seems like it is still the old dial, but I just asked them to shine a flashlight on it just to be sure.
