But I’m saying it looks like it has the same flaws as the JF dial. Oversized squares with no taper on the side.

Haha, it wasn't my intention indeed. I'd just have liked to share a pic of my gen blue dial as a reference for a comparison with rep (eg. DP) dials.

This same gorgeous blue dial color was revived in the 15510 anniversary series. For me personally it beats the H and I series 15400 blue dial colors and the 15500 blue color. Just a matter of personal preference but the deep 15450 blue is gorgeous.

I must say that the DP dial has really nice deep blue color and many shades of black/green hue. I have ZF 15400 and apsf 15450 in blue, the DP dial even with all imperfections, is by far better than all rep dials at the moment. Of course, my opinion

Agreed. The blue DP 15450 dial is one of the greatest APRO rep dials I've seen.

Did they end up fixing the length of the Hour marker?

I think the upgrade is definitely worth it. I have mine for two weeks , every time I look at it, puts a smile, all the shades of blue and the sunburst..

so the only flaw is the index at 12 o'clock which is too long right?

Yes, and the squares are slightly bigger, but non of this will bother you unless using a zoom, the color and sunburst are the biggest tell from a distance and DP did amazing job.
