Hi all
ive just purchased the v6 with the 3120 decrotive moment and I have to say...I am more than happy with it..the dial now has the shimmering look just the the gen in OP pics. And the movement looks amazing.. It's fooled a few people already! Yes it is sadly too thick, but I'm really not bothered as you can't really tell when on the wrist.. I will post some pics when I get a chance..
its a fantastic iconic watch ...a real must have in anyone's collection

My new AP 15400 with 3120 decorative plate

Hi all
As promised, here are a few images of my new 15400 v6 with the 3120 decorative plate, as you will see the quality fitment of the bezel screws are much better than previous models, and the dial colour / shimmering look is a lot more accurate to that of the Gen, plus on the wrist ..the extra 1 mm back cover isn't that noticeable IMO
im very happy with it..
anyways..
enjoy :punk:

The hour markers still look like shit...Anyone that knows the Royal Oak will see that immediately, also the case is 2.5mm thicker than the previous version. The old Mitoya was 9mm, and this latest version is 11.5mm thick.

This might be a stupid question but are these watches easily serviced? I've read that the genuine versions of these watches are really hard to service so does the same apply here? How will that affect it's life expectancy?

I'm guessing anyone that can service a Miyota can service this watch, but the question is are they willing to.

I'm pretty noteworthily minimalist when it comes to my watches and the AP15400, despite many finding it too plain, was and will always be my grail.

I have to say that retrospectively, this post still stands as the most informative and helpful resource I had when I first came to this forum, and was instrumental when I bought my 15400.

Huge thanks and props for the OP's time, effort, and attention to detail.

Paid $208 as it's in the special offers. Listed as $348.

There is a V6F for $358 as well

The best version is a "tie" between the TF Miyota Version, and the V6F Miyota with decorated movement plate.

Each have their advantages and disadantages; TF is 10mm thick while V6F is 11.5mm (because of the decorative plate) being the most cited.

Here are links for both;

TF:

V6F:

If you're looking for a blue dial in particular I seem to remember conversation at some point as too which of those two models was more gen-like hue; would be worth a search through the forums.

Thanks! Maybe I should for a black or white as I already have a blue one :)
