True but you can can get the same effect with a TC case and have it shaved and reshaped for the perfect look and you don't have to go out of your mind trying to find a WM9 but regardless it's gonna cost a lot of money. Basically as long as you start with a gen spec case to accept a gen bezel and crystal the possibilities are endless

WM9 is long out of production. BK did a very limited run of WM9 TT Subs some time ago. Occasionally the come up in the sales section. Expect to pay a minimum of a grand. They're the only quality TT Sub you can get ahold of these days.

SS and both TT WM9 Subs. Like an idiot, I sold them long ago. Regret it big time.

The bracelet is the real killer to building one of these. Everything else can be had reasonably priced. But $2K+ for a bracelet is crazy territory.

You can get an 18K/SS sterile bracelet from WSO or ST for ~$8-900. But yes, bracelet is the killer...

But they don't have sels. The 2 piece end links just don't work for me. I like the sel look better.

Tell me about it! I had these 3 in the watch box at one point. Reps, but still regret selling them...

All three are amazing. That's the best 116613 rep I have seen.

Glad you like it. Took some real effort to get it that way.

D was a transitional series. It came with and without the rehaut engravings.
I've seen them both.

Please get your facts straight before go 'correcting' someone. ;)

Think we need a thread on 116613 frankens too!

I'll fall through on the ceramic guide. Not my thing.

I bought the gen 116613 and sold it on after a short time.

Is there even a proper chance to Franken it? Since dial is most likely impossible to come by, same goes for quality bracelets and bezel rings/assemblies, let alone genuine.

Regular things like crystal, crown if ones lucky even insert but I'd say that's all that's most likely to happen..

Damian! How you been man?! It's been a while.

As far as I know there were different MBWs.
The better one of them used a really nice bracelet, Rup knows stuff about the MBW bracelet.
Also the blue of the good MBW dial was really nice. Other than that I personally ain't a sucker for those MBW cases as a base.

Some like them as a base some don't. I've always preferred wm9 cases.

They were gen spec to my knowing. So anything should fit with little to no extra modding.

There was a sick build based on a MBW back in the days. Turned out really good unlike its owner..

D series does not come with engraving and is not a transition series. Z series came after and does not have it either but not sure if this is transition. But hey never let the facts get in they way of a condescending comment

Here you see a '05 Z with engravings.

Also here I have compiled some links for you to TRF where rehaut engravings were discussed.

I have PERSONALLY handled a D serial WITH rehaut engravings. I've also handled D serials without them. Same rules apply for Z serials.

Now please get over it all and let the post remain as it was intended to be. An educational thread. If you wanna get into discussion, feel free to throw me a PM or get posting in the official bluesy thread.
One has to use the search function for said thread.

Thanks and have a nice day. ;)

I said I wasn't sure about a Z. My correction was about a D and was meant to educate. Never seen a D engraving and doubt the existence. Could be wrong but I wasn't the one who got bent out of shape to start with. Best of luck
