Having had them both at the same time, it was not noticeable to me.@ OP: I noticed that the ORF and ZF are each a tiny bit thicker (like up to half a mm) while the VSF's case is actually 0.1mm thinner.
Given that the Seamaster is not a thin watch to begin with, did you find the (admittedly very marginal) thickness of the ORF and ZF noticeable or is that negligible? My guess is that it should be not noticeable, can you confirm?
Every TD will be able to source from ZF.I consider going for the green one since recession is hitting my funds to buy gen. Would you be so kind to share suggestions on where to get one with bracelet?
I'm gonna answer to myself here.Any hint about screwdriver size to resize the bracelet?
Those screw have a tiny, narrow slot!
Wow, ZF really putting out some weird quality lately. I’ve never seen this issue before on any rep Seamaster from any factory ? No idea what the actual marker is made of… but my guess would be it’s a piece of white ceramic that’s been coated. Simply filling in with an enamel paint won’t work as it will discolour over time and look different. After wearing the ZF approximately four times, the white enamel 5-minute marker bar has fallen out, as seen in the photo.
Repair:
- Is it best to source white enamel paint as close to spec as possible, and fill it in myself?
How do we think it's originally made?
- Is it a small piece of cut metal that's glued in?
- It it enamel paint, that in mine has just bonded to itself and formed a rectangle of enamel that's fallen out?

Gen Tudor Pelagos' behave quite in the same way, so maybe your Omega is just a Tudor in disguiseAfter wearing the ZF approximately four times, the white enamel 5-minute marker bar has fallen out, as seen in the photo.
At this point, your best option would be to replace the bezel or bezel insert. Reach out to the TD you purchased from and see what they can do to help source from ZF.
That is a joke of Tudor... The only time I saw inserts falling apart on Tudors was on the ZF/XF versions but did not know this happens to gens as well...
Yes mate, it’s a reasonable gesture and a good solution. Hope it all works out well for you.@Teamjlf thanks for the advice. TD will source the bezel insert for me but has asked for $20 USD shipping.
I'm frustrated by having to pay extra for a part to fix a defective watch I've had for two weeks.
Am I being unreasonable, should I accept this as standard operating procedure and pay for the shipping?
Yes, it definitely happens on gen's too, take a look at WUS:That is a joke of Tudor... The only time I saw inserts falling apart on Tudors was on the ZF/XF versions but did not know this happens to gens as well...
@Route66 I've fallen in love with a few Tudors so I'd be okay with that ;P
I think that Pelagos would actually look fantastic with all of the line markers removed from it.
How good is the ar coating on the zf when compared to the vsf?
Lol. You mean I've got to pay all that coin and then put in the effort to wear it? Can't I pay someone to 'vintage' it? ;PI love some of them as well.. but if you prefer them markers-free, you just have to wear the watch and wait![]()
