seems like ZF had a much nicer ntpt pattern on their previous versions so I think im probably gonna hold off until they make it more shiny like gen

It's the lighting he used. Low light with high flash makes the NTPT reflective. But it doesn't look like that regularly.

You don't need to trust me about the NTPT - just look back the 30 pages, no ZF NTPT for this new RM055 looks that shiny

@Reaps is correct about the zf NTPT case vs gen BTW. If you know what to look for you will know that the finish is rather off very gen. Not too bad overall for the price but if you put it and the gen side by side the difference can be quite obvious. I’m not an RM expert but @QueTip is, and can confirm what I said.

I'm not saying ZF is bad - I'm quite impressed what ZF have done for the price, especially the clone movement, it's a great advancement, but we have discussed NTPT here multiple times and the consensus is that the carbon patterning, shininess and polishing isn't there at the gen level yet.
The closest ZF came was with the ABD case for their RM35

Look, I don't proclaim to be a RM expert, I've never even seen the RM055 or RM035 in real life, so I'll let others who know more than me talk. But this is what I've seen over the past 30 pages of this thread and other threads. I am always open to being educated about watches.

This is totally correct. Take a regular (non flash) picture of the two next to each other and you’ll see the difference. The old ABD x ZF 35 is not perfect obviously as they had to cut some corners to keep it affordable compared to other cases that are even better but the difference between the two is night and day.
If anyone is talking out of their ass it’s you and nobody else trying so hard to defend something that is wrong. Maybe it helps you feel better about yourself but it’s ok my man. Say whatever makes you sleep at night.They don't know how to take pics

I’ve said this before to someone else and I’ll say it again- if the ZF is good enough for you, that’s more power to you. Consider yourself lucky. You don’t have to spend extra money to get a better case that actually looks correct and you don’t have to spend the money to buy a gen.
This ZF release is a nice watch and a huge step forwards for what it is and compared to what was available before but it’s still very far from a gen, especially so for the case. You get what you pay for basically. If the different NTPT look doesn’t bother you, amazing for you but don’t go running around butting your head in discussions and topics you evidently have no say in because you can’t or won’t want to see the facts as what they are.
Nobody is doubting that it looks good. But it looks nothing like the gen case that’s all. If you got one, just enjoy it and don’t worry too much. For the price you paid, you get a nice looking watch. It is by no means an RM but it’s good enough for the general population to enjoy a watch which resembles one, and maybe buy the ignorant owner some feeling of privilege and luxury.They don't know how to take pics

Yup it is true. You cannot compare zf ntpt to gen or cnc. It is a great watch for the money though, solid watch I would recommend it!

Landed in Guangzhou on Friday, have visited a few factories, dealers, and vendors around Guangzhou and some other cities with my girlfriend. I must say for the Rolex vendors that are doing the real solid 18k CNC cases they look and feel amazing they are the real deal. Its really scary how well it is i took my gen gold daytona and compared it next to it in terms of the 18k case its amazing and really exactly like it for the yellow gold version. The rose gold version they have is still a bit off color to the real rolex rose gold. The vendor/factory selling the 18k gold rolex was very strict and did not allow cellphones, me and my girlfriend had to leave our cellphones at the front entrance unlike the RM factory/vendor they allowed cellphones.
Now for the RM vendor/factory they are really doing great work and i will post some photos of what I've seen and had been able to look at so far.
To the people fighting about ZF NTPT and the CNC NTPT I had both in hand and seen in person i can verify the CNC NTPT is much much better than the ZF NTPT. The ZF NTPT looks like a fake when you have it side by side.
I got to see CNC NTPT cases and as well as some Ceramic Cases they are both amazing.
I got to see also the clone movement as well as the Vaucher movement.
Its 5pm here in China now and tomorrow I will go to Hong Kong to view some things there.
